Where to eat in Magic Kingdom?

We'll be going to Magic Kingdom for just one day this summer. We had lunch at Crystal Palace with Pooh last year and loved it. My kids aren't interested in seeing the Princesses, so no CRT for us.

Are there any other must-try places in MK? I wish we could do more character dining, but we just won't have the time when we are there for just one day.

What's yummy in MK?

I've only tried Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, and while it was good, it wasn't really my thing (served family style).

That said, their lunch menu looks REALLY good to me. Especially the ooey gooey toffee cake! If I were going to MK for one day and wanted a table service lunch, I'd pick LTT!

We really like LTT for lunch....have always had good food and good service.....but it isn't a character meal like you said. A couple other options would be to jump on the monorail and hit one of the MK resorts. Chef Mickey's is a character buffet. Kona at the Poly is really good. Leaving MK for food does take a little extra time but it is an option.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are staying in the Tampa area, so Orlando is only 90 minutes away. I am wondering if it may be worth a second trip to Orlando to have a lunch or dinner at one of the resorts rather than taking time out of our day at MK. Maybe we should just stick with counter service at MK?

Guess I have time to decide.

I love the lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern....excellent Pot Roast and the ooey gooey toffee cake is one of my favorite desserts in WDW

LTT is one of our favorite lunch spots at Disney. We've never had a bad meal there. For counter service, Columbia Harbor House is very nice. It's not as hectic as some of the other places and the food is good.
