My sister and I will be arriving in Disney on Thursday night Feb 7th staying at the Boardwalk. As we are arriving late, its not cost effective to go to any of the parks so I am thinking dinner at Down town Disney - Wolfgang Pucks? Or at the Boardwalk? What do my wise dis friends recommend?

Since your arriving late I think a good suggestion would be to try Earl Of Sandwich. In my opinion it's the best counter service location in all of WDW and everything on their menu tastes great, plus their prices are very reasonable for a dinning location in WDW. I always order the All American with no Cranberries and on the side I get the Tomato Soup.

How late are you arriving? Will you have a long trip and be very tired? It yes, it might be easier to eat on the Boardwalk. You have TS restaurants -- Spoodles, Big River, Flying Fish. O you could do take out from Spoodles, the Bakery, ESPN Club. If it happens to be a pleasant night you can eat the take out outside and watch the entertainment.

You might want to save the time it takes to go to DTD and back so you can have more rest for the next day.

The way the tickets are structured now, it's only a few dollars to add that extra day. I think if you stay four days or more, each additional day is only $2 to $3 more. Don't know what kind of meal you want, but Fulton's is my fav at DTD.

At the Boarwalk I suggest Flying Fish for a nice dinner. For a quick bite and a beverage, Big River Grill.
If you do venture to DD and want a good meal, Portobello Yacht Club would be my choice. Wolfgangs is nice, as is Raglan Road. For just a sandwich, The Earl is ok.

Get some VooDoo Shrimp or try a good shrimp po-boy.My wife loves the catfish nuggets and sweet potato fries.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

How about Raglan Road? A late dinner with the live Irish Band & Dancer makes for a great evening! And the food is great, too! :thumbsup2

I've been to the Wolfgang Puck Cafe on the West Side. It was good!!

Otherwise, I've only eaten at McDonald's in DTD.

Our fav is WPE next to the Xmas shop...runner up is EoS...great sandwiches there but WPE has more dinner entree type foods.

For TS we LOVE HoB..great food and music.

WPE is very good. The service was a little unfriendly the night we went - the guy behind the counter was a stereotypical angry new yorker, haha - but the food was very good.

here's a second vote for Earl of Sandwich! very yummy food, great prices and good variety. that is always our first meal when we go to Orlando!

Not sure when you are arriving, but if I get there late at night, I do not want to start busing it.... I love Spoodles on the Boardwalk and have always had a good meal there, head over to Beaches and Cream for a burger, fries and a delicious shake, or some of the other restaurants on the Boardwalk have been suggested as well.. remember you can always go to the Swan and Dolphin, they have quite an assortment of decent restaurants..

At DTD, I would try Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express on the Marketplace side.

I try to do CS my first night, just in case there are delays with my flight, transportation to WDW, etc. The last thing I want to worry about is whether I'll be on time for my ADR.

That said, I would recommend two CS restaurants at DTD: Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express. Both are excellent and great for a quick meal before shopping!

Definitely Wolfgang Puck Express. We love that restaurant and go every time we are down there.

Definitley Wolfgang Puck Express, Marketplace.

Best CS meal in WDW in my opinion :thumbsup2

If I were you I would soak up the ambiance of the Boardwalk your first night and grab something there -- it will be quicker, more convenient, and it's one of my favorite areas at Disney! Spoodles is good, there's a counter service pizza place if you just want a quick slice, and Big River Brewing Company is worth a try as well.

If you are set on DTD, Fulton's and Portobello Yacht Club are both good. I've had spotty meals at Wolfgang Pucks.
