A couple of our friends will be joining us while we are in DL in December... We will have a babysitter for a Friday night. Where would you recommend for 4 adults to go and have dinner and still enjoy the parks?

My favorite place to go when it's just adults is the Vineyard Room which is UPSTAIRS from the winery place in California Adventure. It's sort of a hidden gem, and so yummy!

I have not eaten at Vineyard room but heard it was great. We just ate at Steakhouse 55 and it was very good. It is in the Disneyland Hotel. Also Hook's Pointe is there as well and it is also good! Of course there is always Napa Rose as well! Enjoy!

Good post! My husband and I want to go out to dinner one night, and leave the kids w/ Grandma at the room. I now know exactly where we'll eat: the steakhouse 55! My husband is picky (meat, potatoes) and that place will be perfect. Fortunately, my mom is coming on the trip, so we can try some of the other cool places during the week.

I haven't heard many reviews on the Japanese restaurant at Paradise Pier. I wonder if that's any good. I eyed it the last time we were there, but my husband wouldn't go. It's so convenient- right at the same place we were staying. I love sushi too.

A couple of my favorites are listed here, which I definitely would agree are great adult places: Vinyard Room and Yukibumi (spelling may be off there). i'm not necessarily a big fan of the long walk to PPH, but as it's the only Japanese place on property, I suck it up.

Blue Bayou may be an idea too, depending on your idea of "adult." I took a friend there Sunday (it was her first time at DL. On the adult side, it's meant to be a quiet place. The riders may sometimes get boisterous (and maybe some of the people eating too), but it's definitely upscale. No alcohol though, if that matters.

We love the Jazz Kitchen....good Jazz music and the chicken and steak are great:thumbsup2

We will be there for New years:cool1:

So many good choices. It depends are what you are looking for. Do you want to drink or not? Be entertained or a quiet atmosphere where you can visit? Is $$$ a factor? All the suggestions made are great, but we need more info! Top choice is Napa Rose, but if you are looking for IN the parks, Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans are nice.

Another place is the House of Blues in DTD, but if you are looking for in the parks I also suggest Blue Bayou.pirate:

We ate at the Vineyard in December and it was chilly, they didn't have any outdoor heaters. We'll be trying the Napa Rose this trip.

In DTD, the Rainforest Cafe is nice.
