where to eat at or near Belz outlets?

I am hoping to be at the outlet late one afternoon, into the early evening with my dh and 3 kids (age 6 to 10). I'd like a sit down meal (not fast food), but also reasonably priced. A buffet would be ok, if the food is decent. Other options could be Italian, Chinese, family rest., but since we will mostly be cooking our own meals, I don't want the few restaurant meals we'll be having to be disappointing (esp. if they cost a lot!). Thanks in advance for advice.

7 days to go!:bounce:

The only place to eat in the mall is a small food court, so that's out since you said you didn't want fast food. (You might want to take the kids there for an ice cream or a carousel ride, though!)

There are a lot of restaurants nearby on International Blvd. You will need to go past Kirkman and maybe even Sand Lake, which means 2-3 miles from the mall.

Just about every choice you mentioned is nearby, buffet (Golden Corral), Italian (Olive Garden & others), lots of Chinese places. If you want a fancier meal, there's Charlie's Lobster House, Charlie's Steak House, and Crab House.

I have just driven by most of these places, but I can certainly recommend Charlie's Lobster House, though it is pretty expensive.

A great tool for investigating restaurants is the online Zagat's survey. Here's a link for International Drive area restaurants, sorted by the food quality rating:

We always stop at Sweet Tomatoes after we go to Belz!:D If you like a good salad bar, go there!

Ditto on Sweet Tomatoes. Salad bar, pizza, pasta, pototoes. I would go for late lunch and not pay the dinner price.

I have heard of Sweet Tomatoes before and would love to try it. Can anyone give me directions? I would probably stop there for lunch either before or after heading to Belz. Thanks!

Kris

Sweet Tomatoes is at the corner of International Drive and Kirkman. It's kinda tricky to get to it, you need to enter the strip mall from the street that's just north of Kirkman.

thanks for great advice, esp. about zagat (i forgot about that, used it very well for NYC last year).

the sweet tom. mentioned sounds like it has some healthy selections, which my dh will really welcome (some buffets are deep fried everything with synthetic pudding... yech).
