This is our second trip to the World and we would like to try different restaurants. Last year while at Animal Kingdom we ate at Pizzafarri and Rainforest Cafe. We would like to eat at AK, so we dont loose any time going back and forth from the park to another resort. We need suggestions for lunch and dinner. It doesnt need to be too fancy, we like pasta, steak, burgers and chicken. So, where should we eat?

We ate at Tusker House for lunch this February, and were really grateful for the chance to take time out in the middle of the day as all the Counter Service areas seemed really busy. Interior had some really cool decorations and themes. Buffet was very varied: some African specialities as well as meat / cheese sandwich fillings and roast meats with all the trimmings. Save room for the cake selection - yummy!:cool1: There really was something for everyone. The only downside? It may be take too much time out of you day if you have a lot of touring to do!

Another vote for Tusker House! We ate lunch there too and the buffet was delish. I loved the theming too...it was like being in an African marketplace. :thumbsup2 My oldest daughter loved it because of the lemon bars, she said they were amazing!

Based on the stuff you like, try Flametree BBQ. Pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ chicken, and stuff like that. You can check out the menu on allearsnet.com. If you like Asian food, make a ressie at Yak and Yeti or eat at the counter service just outside of the restaurant. Tusker House is wonderful and its a buffet. I had an Excellent lunch there last May.

Tusker House sounds good. I'm off to allears to look up the menu and the prices. Thanks for your help! Keep the ideas coming!:goodvibes

here's a vote for Yak N Yeti....I LOVE IT:goodvibes :goodvibes

I love the salad with chicken at Flame tree! Also, if you walk around the back, there are some really pretty places to sit at.
