For our December trip, we will be touring the Christmas decorations in the MK deluxe resorts and I wanted to get some suggestions for where to eat a late lunch. These are the four places I have narrowed it down to (really because, not that many others exist :rotfl: ). We haven't eaten at any of these restaurants and although I know they are all VERY VERY different, I'd like to know where you would all choose of the four.

A. The Wave
B. Whispering Canyon
C. Grand Floridian Cafe
D. Kone Cafe

If we do Kona for lunch, we will probably not do it for dinner. Thoughts on which is a better meal at that particular restaurant? I'd really like to try it for one or the other. :goodvibes

I think Whispering Canyon Cafe is at WL, which is not on the monorail. You can take a boat from MK, tho".

Can't help you with the decision. Have only eaten at Kona (out of those 4). It is excellent for dinner and beakfast. Have not done lunch.

Good luck and enjoy!

HAHAHA too funny :lmao: :rotfl2: ...I was just telling another DISer I might want to edit my post to say "Magic Kingdom Deluxes" instead of monorail line to avoid confusion. I do know it's at WL and yes, we would take the boat there from MK.

Thanks!

We've only done one on your list -- Whispering Canyon Cafe -- and we won't be going back to it. Had a horrible experience all the way around.

The Wave has been getting great reviews lately and we are trying it in September.

:wizard: We've been to all but the Wave...We love Kona and the Grand Floridian Cafe. We were really surprised how good the Grand Floridian Cafe was and I'm sure the decorations at the Grand Floridian will be amazing. The food at Kona is excellent. On the other hand, we went to Whispering Canyon and thought it was terrible.

We have eaten at Kona multiple times and GFC on our Dec 08 trip. We love Kona and GFC was our favorite meal of our last trip. The decorations ARE gorgeous at GF - even if you don't eat there, you should stop to see the big tree, gingerbread house, and other decorations if you've never seen them! At GFC, I had the popcorn crusted mahi-mahi and it was absolutely delicious. I think it may be the best meal I have ever had at WDW! The crab cakes, sticky wings, potstickers, shrimp and scallops, Kilauea torte are all things we have had at Kona that are still on their current menu. All very good. You can't go wrong with either of these choices.
We will eat at The Wave on our upcoming May visit.
Never been to WCC and have no desire to go.
