:sunny: Hello! My mom and I are going to Disneyland this July. We'll arrive in the early afternoon the first day, but won't be going to Disneyland until the next day. We were wondering where to dine the first day. Can you suggest any good restaurants at Downtown Disney, Harbor Blvd or at any hotels? THanks :flower: Teresa

Mimi's on Harbor BLVD is superb, Good prices, huge portions and great food. A really good night out. It's about 10 mins from DL opposite HoJos.

I would suggest going over to Downtown disney and enjoying the great food over there. The Rainforest Cafe is one of my favorites, and not too expensive. The Jazz Kitchen is also great, and they have an outside window and eating area that is less expensive than the actual restaurant.

If you like fun atmosphere go to DD Rainforest Cafe. There is also the House of Blues and the Jazz kitchen is pretty neat. I personally like the animatronics at Rainforest.

I've really enjoyed Mimi's when I've stayed on Harbor Blvd, you can't beat the prices and nice portions! Please don't make the mistake of going to the IHOP.

I found Downtown Disney to be very crowded and frenzied at dinnertime.

My friend actually gave me the idea to start my "Disney" experience early with a character dinner at DLH - Goofy's Kitchen, although they are known for their overpriced meal. Sometimes it's just worth it. I did enjoy dinner at the GC Storyteller Cafe - not really a cafe at all, a very nice meal in a not so crowded environment. (don't expect any characters though :)
