Where to Cheer for Race

I used to be a runner but have since lost interest- not my cup of tea- BUT my family and I love to go to the races and make silly signs and cheer the runners on!


I was thinking it would be great to plan a trip around a race and get up early to cheer on the runners. We love to stay at Deluxe- specifically Beach Club. Is there a race where to course would run by Beach Club or Epcot so we could just walk over to the area to cheer? If not maybe around BLT?

There is info in the Events forum. The Marathon runners ran past the Yacht/Beach club area yesterday. - they ran through all four parks.

The Wine and Dine Half Marathon course goes by Yacht and Beach as well.

That's just what I was thinking of! When DH ran the Wine and Dine Half Marathon, I walked out of the IG over to the walkway in front of the Beach Club. There were LOTS of people cheering the runners on there. I think that because by then they're only a mile or two from finishing, the boost of encouragement really helps (at least that's what DH said). Your presence will be much appreciated.
