I'm going to drop my son and his girlfriend (both 17 yrs. old) off at Universal/IOA for a daytrip, but it will be up to them to get back to Swan @ WDW. Where should they go to get a cab? Will there be cabs available there, or will they have to call? Is there a pay phone there or should I give them my cell phone? Any recommendations as to a particular cab company? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for any info offered.

There is a cab stand right where you drop the kids off. They wont be able to miss it. They'll see the dispatcher as soon as they come down the escalator. The fare is about 30.00 though.
If they don't mind stopping at other hotels, they might consider taking the mears shuttle which is about 8.00 per person. The round trip fare for mears is about 14.00 per person, perhaps you could spare yourself the drop off.

Visit mearstransportation.com for more information.

Good luck with your plans!

When we did this in oct 2003 it costs $25.00 and you could have up to 5 people for the same price. We had 5 and although it was crowded it only cost us $5 apiece.Cabs were lined up there wheere you drop off so they shouldnt have to call.
