I am going to Idaho in February and need winter clothes cheap...they will probably only be used once so I don't want to spend to much on them....TIA

Goodwill!

Sounds odd I know but you can get some great stuff there.

I had to go to a funeral and had nothing to wear. I bought a dress there - lucked into the perfect size in a navy blue. I got all kinds of compliments on the dress!

We went into GW recently because dh needed a few ties and a sports coat. Found a Saks 5th Ave coat that fit him perfectly for $8 and got him 4 ties at $1.39 each.

I don't know how many winter clothes you will find in a FL Goodwill, LOL! What about ebay? I have been getting all of my DS winter clothes from ebay, I like to look for Gymboree NWT, but I have noticed lots of sellers selling lots of clothing. HTH!

You should be able to find most of what you need at your local thrift. If you can't - then find at least one good warm outfit and when you get to Idaho, hit Target or Walmart or see if there's a local good thrift close by. Then buy just enough and ditch it all when you get home.

Are you visiting family this winter? I'd have them look at Goodwill or other similar places and get things for you. It might not hurt to look in your area too, maybe people getting rid of things they only used once too?

Strangely enough, a Goodwill or other thrift store is a perfect place to find winter stuff in a warm climate. Why? Because people buy the warm clothes for that one-time trip, or move from a cold climate, and most of their stuff goes to a second-hand store. Since moving to Arizona, I have pared down my massive sweater collection and still have a few coats that should probably be donated too.

Or wait until after Christmas and buy things when they go on clearance. They might not have as much in FL so it's a gamble.

Also, when my son needed a parka for an overnight up to the mountains, I borrowed one from a friend who had just moved here from a cold climate. You might have to buy some things, but perhaps you could borrow some too if it's a one-time trip.

Uh, if she buys Goodwill while on her trip, she will want to launder these items before she wears them..
