You can buy them onboard for about 8-11 dollars. They are actually cheaper onboard....go figure! They have tons of them in the gift shop with the other toiletries.
I believe the device you saw at Drugstore.com is different than sea bands. It is an electronic device that you wear like a wristwatch that sends out small electrical signals to interrupt the nausea syndrome. It is called "ReliefBand" and is made by Abbott Labs. It is FDA approved.
I'm a private pilot and I carry these for my passengers. It's not a lot of fun flying in a small airplane after someone has had an accident (and less fun cleaning up). We've had great success with these. Aviation folks also use these for aerobatics training (loops, spins, etc.). The ReliefBand is more expensive than some of the other items, but you get what you pay for.
Try asking in the pharmacy at Wal-Mart. That is where I picked up mine.I hope they work, I'm going on my first cruise and would hate to have it ruined by sea sickness.
