Where to buy park tickets?

Should you but disney passes online, at the disney store or wait until you get there? Where is most affordable & safe?

I originally purchased a travel package that included room and tickets. But then I realized that I could probably save a few dollars by purchasing our theme park tickets from the local Disney store in Canadian dollars. They are selling them at par right now. Our dollar keeps fluctuating going above and below par, so maybe by the time we travel in Aug, it might be below, so it will be even more beneficial to purchase them locally. Plus you get your tickets as soon as you pay for them. We have Disney stores close by so it is easy. They sell 3,5 and 7 day passes, both base and park hopper options and water park options too.

A ?, if anyone knows, in the UG (think that's which book I read it in) it says to buy your Disney tickets at the Disney stores in Canada, to save on tax? Not sure how that would save on tax? TIA if anyone knows.

You have to pay the FLorida tax on the tickets form Disney Canada store, but not PST/GST. That amounts to 6.5%.

In the past, I've used Undercovertourist to purchase my tickets (with an additional discount from the mousesavers newsletter). However, with the Disney Canada Store offering at par, that's probably the best rate going. Of course, that's only if you wanted the 3-, 5-, or 7-day configurations.

DDD, I have to agree with you. I could be totally wrong but I don't see how you would be saving on the tax by purchasing at the Disney Store in Canada because they definitely add the Florida state tax to the price of the tickets.

P.S. If you don't mind me asking, where in Durham are you?

Not a Disney Store ... you can only get 3-, 5-, or 7-day MYW passes. I think one-days are only available at the gate
