I haven't made my mind up where we will be staying although I know it will be at the DL gates...where can I buy snacks/drinks/food to stock our fridge? s there anything near??????

There is a 7/11 on the corner of Harbor and Katella. There is also a larger convenience shop just before it by the Candy Cane. Between those we can usually find everything we need.

There is also a Target on the corner of Harbor and Chapman just South of Disneyland. It is a very short cab or bus ride. They have a full grocery section in addition to everything else you'd expect to find at Target.

Is there a place that sells wine? We might want a bottle or two to have in our room at DLH.

I believe the 7/11 sells wine (probably cheap wine.) There is also a liquor store next door.

Yes :woohoo: on Harbor Blvd there's a place called "Liquor Market" seriously! :rotfl:

It's directly across from the 7-11 and ABC Market. Cross streets are Katella & Harbor Blvd.

Cheers!

Howard Johnson has a pretty big store (like 7-11 type) in their lobby called Main Street Market. I was staying at a different hotel in May and needed something and went in and grabbed it there. This is what it says at the HoJo website:

Lunch items such as: bread, cheese, lunchmeat, peanut butter & jelly
Snacks galore, like: crackers, candies, popcorn, gum, mints, nuts, trail mix & much more
Ice cream
Beer & wine, sodas, bottled water, bottled coffee drinks, energy drinks
Disney gifts & souvenirs including shirts, hats, sweatshirts and collectibles
Anaheim and California gifts & souvenirs
Phone cards
Postcards and postage
Laundry detergent and dryer sheets
Sunglasses, suntan lotions, hats and raingear
Pool toys and floats
Stationary items, pens and pencils
Sundries including face/hair/dental/body products, sewing kits & much more
Over-the-counter pharmaceutical products
Magazines, puzzle books & free USA Today daily newspaper

Hi :)

If you are staying near the DL gates as you mentioned, then 7-11 is a long walk. There is a "Minni Mart" in the driveway of the hotel right beside the Carousel Inn and Suites. They have everything you could possibly want, including alcohol if you drink. I stocked up there. If you walk past the Carousel going towards McDonalds, you went too far :) It's the driveway behind the Quizno's. For distance perspective, Carousel is an easy 5 minute walk to DL main gates.

Yes, the 7/11 is about a 12 min walk from Disneyland. There are several motel gift shops along the way, but frequently, the costs there are higher. The Tropicana (the motel next to Carousel) has a small gift shop, as does Fairfield Inn, Camelot, and I think Park Vue Inn. If you find you need more than is there, then I would head to 7/11 or ABC Market.

You might also want to spend some time at the Anaheim Garden Walk. There are many great shops and restaurants for you to try out. You can also try Google Map. Search for Disneyland Resort and zoom in all the way. The map will show all the businesses in the area.
