We're flying in the night before our cruise and will be spending the night at Fairfield Inn Orlando Airport. I understand this is in a group of hotels near the airport. Does anyone know where we can go to buy beer to bring on the cruise? We won't have a car, so it would either have to be walkable from the hotel, or we'd take a cab.

Thanks!

Try google maps and choose the search nearby option for the Fairfield or use the description below in the google maps search field

liquor stores loc: 7100 Augusta National Drive, Orlando, FL 32822 (Fairfield Inn Orlando Airport)

We also flew into MCO - we found it much cheaper and very convienent to rent a car from MCO (Hertz), stop at a store and get beverages, and return the car to Hertz.

Hertz if just down the street from DCL. A one way rental was about 1/4 of the price of transfers for 5. We rented it through the costco.com site at a great price. You just take your car back to Hertz and they drop you at the DCL terminal.

We took the DCL transfers back from the port to the airport after the cruise just because we wanted the luggage transfer.

We already have our Disney transfers booked and paid for. Fairfield Inn also has a free shuttle from the airport, so that is covered as well. I'm not sure if renting a car would be worth it just to go for beer. Then again, if the cab fare is too high it might not be worth that expense either just for a dozen or so bottles of beer. Any thoughts?

Could you call the Fairfield, they may be able to help?

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites which is very near your hotel. I do not remember a convenience store or gas station within walking distance. I do have two suggestions:
1) See if the shuttle bus driver can take you to a convenience store or even the Wal-Mart. There are several within a half mile of the hotel. There is also an ABC store about a mile away if you would like hard liquor. Beer and Wine can be purchased at grocery stores. On our first cruise, the shuttle bus driver did do that for another family that was going on the cruise.
2) You could take a taxi, but that may be not worth it unless you are really stocking up.

You could try American Southern Wine and Sports, less than a mile / a 20 minute walk from your hotel.

There is a 7/11 less than a half of a mile from the Fairfield Inn at the corner of Hoffner and 436. You can get a Mears taxi up top the 7/11 buy beer and back to the hotel on less than $15.00.
