Where to buy a long, sturdy lanyard??

I am in search of a long, sturdy lanyard, but can't seem to find one.

Do any of you have long lanyards, that are are thick enough to hold pins? Would also be nice if they had the detachable clip at the end and also a clasp so that you can attach an ID.

IS THERE SUCH A THING? ARGH!!

Any replies at all will be helpful. I have my pins, but no lanyard!

They have pin-trading lanyards which are a bit wider than your typical "id lanyard", and are very good for holding pins

Who are "they"? Are you referring to the stores in Disney?

I was wanting to buy lanyards before arriving, and would like them to be on the long side (over 22" - so that it rests down near the stomach and not the chest). All the lanyards I've seen seem rather child-size.

I'm hoping someone can direct me to where I can order some lanyards that say what size they are (length and width), and mean it. It's just getting frustrating and taking away from the thrill of being a first-time pin trader.

I think "they" are the various shops at WDW.

I bought a Tinkerbell lanyard (with clip) at Hot Topics of all places!

Yes, sorry ... meant the shops in WDW. I believe you can also get them through WDW mail order. (I don't have the phone # handy, but it comes up fairly regularly on the boards, a search should find it for you)

If you'd like, I can try and measure the lanyard that I have. It's just plain black, about an inch wide, with a plastic clip at the bottom (right now, there's a "Disney Pin Trading" card on the clip, which came with the lanyard.

SyracuseWolvrine: If you don't mind, I would be interested in knowing how long your lanyard is. I assume you go your's at a WDW shop or did you get it by ordering through the mail?

The lanyard that I got at DTD Pin Traders is 22 inches and with the clip its just about 24 inches total.

...but I bought mine (just like one your explaining) at the local college near me. Has the college name on the lanyard part (and held plenty of pins!), with a detachable clip attached to a mini velcro closed wallet. The wallet had one side with a see through window (id, room key..) the other side had a zipper pocket (money, change..). Cost me $18 two years ago and was worth EVERY penny. If your not near a college, try going to their website, and do a search in their bookstore. Hope this might help!

Sorry ... I didn't see this response for a while.

The pin-trading lanyard that I wear at work was provided by my management team. My personal lanyard was purchased at a CM-only pin event, but is almost completely similar to ones sold throughout the parks.
