Where the MOM'S? Name a mother DISNEY cartoon character please

I cannot for the life of me remember the turtles name but I always see it on House of Mouse and think it's funny. The sad thing is I don't even have kids.

I don't know if the mother has a name -- but the baby turtle's name is Shellby.

Hercules' mom in Hercules(Hera is one but the other mom I'm blanking)

I do agree though that mom's in general are in very short supply. Even in sequels(which I know many dislike), they are in short supply unless they are evil. I'm sure I'll think of more later, but am blanking.

Bless her heart, Bambi's mom wasn't evil. I still cry every time I watch it.

I'd like to look thru my Disney movies, but it's more a pain than it's worth really. I did want to say that the Mother does quite okay in Parent Trap though.

What was that movie where the kids locked the Parents in the basement? Was that a Disney movie? The parents did okay in that too, they even stayed married.

I never realized the lack of maternal Disney figures till this very moment. Although, the stories are based on fairy tales that were around way before Disney, so they cant get all the blame. It is weird though.

My theory on why their are no moms in some movies or they get killed off.
Is I think this is the one tragic thing that could happen to a child,
Lossing a parent and I.m sure that most little kids have this thought a least a few times.
Little kids cant relate to lossing a job etc I think you know what I mean.
But they can relate to something happening to their Mommy.

That is what I was thinking. Walt must of not been big on Mothers... but why? We hate that Babmi's mom dies and it certainly isn't what we want our kids to be thinking so young.
