Here's my list. What's funny is that I've lived in 4 of the cities on my list and my parents live in 2 others so I have a lot of experience in 6 of the cities.

Las Vegas, NV
Little Rock, AK
El Paso, TX
Phoenix, AZ
Tampa, FL
Orlando, FL
Dallas, TX
Tucson, AZ
Oklahoma City, OK
Charleston, SC
Houston, TX
Louisville, KY
Ft Worth, TX
Austin, TX
Nashville, TN
Jacksonville, FL
West Palm Beach, FL
Memphis, TN
San Antonio, TN
Las Cruces, NM
Henderson, NV
San Diego, CA
Orange County, CA
Augusta, GA

My top 5 are:

1. Miami Beach "America's Riveria"
2. Boca Raton, FL "A City for all Seasons"
3. Sarasota, Fl "The Culture Coast"
4. St Pete, FL "The Sunshine City"
5. Lakeland, FL "Cities of the Lakes"

Funny, I was born in Lakeland and live in Sarasota! :) I belong!

Most of mine were either in the four-corners region (specifically in Arizona, Utah, and Colorado), North Carolina or Tennessee (neither of which I've been to). Interestingly enough, only *one* was in Texas, and that was Fredericksburg -- right where I've been telling DH I'd like to move to. LOL!

Portsmouth, New Hampshire Historic Seaside Town
Manchester, New Hampshire The Queen City
Portland, Maine Jewel by the Sea
Bar Harbor, Maine City of Coast and Cliffs

Hey, what was your criteria? I basically live in Gaithersburg (Montgomery Village--same thing) and it didn't even make my top 24, nor did Baltimore or Washington DC.

I wanted to be close to "culture"...um (I did this this morning, so bear with me). Nice weather - not hot but not freezing - although doesn't it still get cold in Washington and Maryland? :confused3 I dunno. To be honest, none of my "topspots" make sense for what I put down at the time. I also didn't want to spend more than $300,000 on a house and it spit out locations with $500,000 homes. :confused3

HA! My number one choice is where I already am. Guess I am not moving anytime soon.

sheesh - they really pushed the Carolinas on me! There were two in Arizona, a few in Texas - nothin' in California!

Lousiville, KY
Nashville, TN
St. Louis
Lexington, KY
Loveland, CO
Greenville, SC

It's been a long time since I've done this quiz, and boy has it changed alot!

:rotfl: Yeah, hard not to spend over 300K on a house here--5 years ago, very possible, but housing has exploded and you'd have a hard time getting a single family, even a small one, for that.

We do have winter here, although not brutal. We've had a storm that dumped 2 feet of snow in the past, but that's not normal.

I put that I didn't like extended winters, but that I like a "blanket of snow". Also that I don't like desserts and then it sent me near San Diego, CA. Hum, never seen a blanket of snow there!

You must have mentioned in the survey how much you love snow, and cold weather, and snow, and the ocean, and oh yeah, snow! :)

My top ten were:

Woodbury, Tennessee (I've been to Memphis- it was nice)

Rockport, Texas (for some reason, I've never really considered Texas a place I'd want to live)

Port Arkansas, Texas (same)

Hilton Head, South Carolina (Yes! :sunny: )

Key West, Florida (been there, and want to go back, but not sure I'd want to live there)

Brunswick, Georgia (perhaps)

Beaufort, South Carolina (maybe)

St. Mary's, Georgia (perhaps)

New Smyrna Beach, Florida (Yes! :sunny: )

Ormond Beach, Florida (Yes! :sunny: )

The rest were all other places in Texas, (what's up with that!), and Florida, (Yes! :sunny: ), and South Carolina, (I could maybe see that).

Why oh why, am I in Maine!?!

My top 11 (I had to list 11 before I got to anything outside my small region) I guess I live in my perfect spot. LOL Cary, NC a suberb of Raleigh and about 20 minnutes from both Durham and Chapel Hill of course being a Wolfpack fan I could never move into Chapel Hill.

Hampton, VA
Baltimore, Maryland
Durham, NC
Hickory,NC
