Where should we take our photos?

Since DF and I are using Randy Chapman for our wedding photos we get to do a photo session with the disney people in a park of our choice.

our two options are magic kingdom the day before the wedding or animal kingdom the day after the wedding.

which location would you pick? convince me girls!

We didn't do the honeymoon shoot but from the pics I have seen here I really like the ones in MK!

When we did our "take lots of PhotoPass pics to utilize the extra magic hours at AK", we noticed that almost all the photos came out with the tree in the background. To me, that's one of the only recognizable icons they have, although we did get a couple of nice ones in front of Expedition Everest. There's probably a few nice spots sprinkled around here and there, but MK has sooo many recognizable, pretty places, that it would be my vote.

Actually, Epcot is my true vote (that's where we did ours and the countries made for such gorgeous backdrops!) but that doesn't seem to be on your list.

I'd love to do them at Epcot but we aren't going to that park and I don't want to spend extra money just to go in there for the photos and leave after.

I'd LOVE to have our photos done in front of mexico and france or italy as well... but alas, it's not going to happen.

Oh, luna, forgot to mention that originally they told me that if we had our honeymoon shots anywhere but the MK, they would charge us an additional $50 (I have no idea why). Luckily, they ended up forgetting to charge us or not bothering or whatever, but in the slim chance they might charge you, thought that might help sway your decision!

I specifically asked Rosie about the "extra $50 charge" if we chose another park and she assured me there was not an extra charge to do any of the parks for our swap. I haven't received our BEO yet, but that is what she told me, so I am going to hold her to that.

We (I) decided to do our honeymoon shoot at AK for a couple reasons. One, we are doing the MK bridal shoot, so we will already have some good pictures of the castle in our wedding attire. Secondly, there are a lot of neat photo opportunities with more "scenic" backdrops at AK..foliage, waterfalls, obviously the tree of life and expedition everest, etc... I just went through pictures we had taken when we were there in the past and decided on those locations. That being said, I guess it depends more if you want scenic backdrops (as purplegirl247 indicated at Epcot) and AK or if you want more recognizable Disney items in the backgrounds. HTH

That is hilarious! Here's a quote from an e-mail from Rosie herself on 12/15/07: "Yes, the alternate session at Epcot is possible, there is however an additional charge of $50.00 for the parks other than the Magic Kingdom." Yet another example of different brides being told different things!

Anyway, luna, just make sure you clarify in advance if they're going to charge you. Like Swmhc said, if they've told you there's no charge, there will likely be no charge. Good luck!

we did magic kingdom and it was so much fun. we had pics taken with the barbershop quartet, the mayor on main street, on the carousel, walking by the castle, in minnie's house, with mickey in the judge's tent.... it was a blast!

Can Disney do this for us if we are NOT having our wedding ceremony or reception there? How much would it be and where I can I find the information about it? I've been searching their website for honeymoon photo specials and couldn't find anything!
