Hi!
I just booked my dining package for Jan 25 - Feb 1. The trip is just me and DH (25). It's our 3rd trip and we've (gasp) never eaten at ANY of Disney's sit down restaurants. So obviously I want to get the most out of this as possible. I've poored over the menus, read all the reviews and come up with the following list:

1. Ohana
2. Le Cellier
3. Boma
4. Whispering Canyon
5. Kona

I need 3 more dinners. Plus, I'm not a huge eater, so I figure we should share our dinners at least once or twice. That list leaves me with 6 more points if we don't share. I'm thinking WC for lunch the same day we go to Kona for dinner. what I'd like to do is some sharing so we can go to some of the 2 pointers.

So where should we share? And where else should we go? We like all kinds of food.

Since it is just the 2 of you, I would recommend California Grill. If you make a reservation and time it so you can wathc Wisher from there during your dinner, that would be great! It is considered a 2 point restaurant.
Did you check ou the menus at : http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm

It is a great reference point!

Yep, I used Allears. And I've been looking at everyone's picture's thinking we could share just about everywhere! :)

I think we're going to share at WC for sure...

if you share at lecellier you may need to order a side as the side with the steak at least are i think a total of 1 new potato.the meat portion was fine but even with the appe and dessert( we split it all) we were still a little hungry( only place this happened)
wcc dinner you could split for sure
can' t share at ohana or Boma. not sure about portions for Kona dinner. brown derby is 2ts but we shared there easily ( so would really only use 2 ts)

You can definitely share at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Boma is a buffet and 'Ohana is an all you can eat thing so you can't share there.

You didn't mention any place at MGM but I'd suggest with your ages, you might enjoy Sci-Fi or 50s Prime Time.

Not up on the dining plan requirements, but a nice adult meal is the Yachtsman Steakhouse. My favorite meal ever at Disney World.

I don't think all the restaurants follow the same rules but Flying Fish would not allow us to split a meal on the dining plan. The waiter told me the dining credit was for a "seat" not a "meal". I'm sure not everyone has had the same experience because the dining plan "rules" seem to vary from person to person. You just don't know what will be allowed until you are actually there. Good luck.

I am so sorry you had that experience (not letting you share) at Flying Fish. I have read many many reviews and have also been on the dining plan myself and have NEVER had a problem sharing meals. I can't believe they wouldn't let you.

Back to the original question.....My fiance and I shared a meal at Le Cellier and left full and still left food on the plates! We ordered one extra appetizer and one extra drink and paid separate for them. They were happy to let us share as I mentioned above I never encountered a problem. My suggestion is if you want to share stay away from the Flying Fish. :)

We think that all TS servings are big enough to split. Many CS meals are splitable, too. I guess it depends on your appetite, but it takes a big appetite to clean your plate at Disney.

Thanks everyone!

What about CRT, is that a good place to share?
