So DH & I are trying to figure out our vacation for next year. It will be me, DH, DD8 and DD6. We own DVC so thats what we've been doing. We have talked about going to California for the past couple of years but just haven't yet. So, our original plan was California in 2010. Here are our options:

A) California - would be a week, visiting, Disneyland, beverly hills, universal, studio tour (if possible). One reason for postponing would be that the kids aren't old enough for some studio tours we really want to do.

If we do California in the summer, we'd do a long columbus day weekend in WDW also at beach club, because we have additional points to use, and we want to try some restaurants next year, we could go to food & wine festival, MNSSHP, etc.

B) Disneyworld - we'd go for a week in the summer staying at beach club. We did summer this year, so we're ok with the crowds and temps, etc.

The big thing affecting our decision is the fact that option A is more than double the cost of option B, so that will play a factor. But money aside, I booked a 'just in case' for option B, started my itinerary, and now I just want to go back to florida again. So, what do you think? Should we try something new, or go back to where we all enjoy again?

I will vote for option A if finances are not a concern.

Taking the kids to different places and seeing new things is a wonderful opportunity. There is so much to see and do in this country that wherever you go will be a great vacation.

Go to California and then skip WDW and bank your points instead to give yourself an even nicer vacation the year after or donate them to a charity. It will save you money on that trip.

It would be nice to experience something different. It does seem though that while listing your options you have two knocks against option "A" so maybe you already have decided it will be WDW. I do the same thing. You know what you'll get at WDW and you know you love it why wouldn't you want to repeat it. You already booked a 'just in case' and started an itinerary!:rotfl:

Make sure to post when you have a final decision! :)

If finances aren't an issue, option A. BUT, if it's going to do some serious damage to your purse, I'd go for option B. Tried and true old Disney World will never fail!
