DS7 and I will be spending 2 days and 1 night at the Royal Pacific this August. We like to do a table service meal each evening and I'm wondering if we'll need reservations. Something in the hotel would be ideal since our schedule will probably be get to the parks at opening, do things until we're hot and tired, and then retreat to the pool until dinner (we are far from "Commando" style tourists).

Also, any suggestions on the cheapest way to do a one night stay with 2 day/2 park tickets?

Thanks!

I love the food at RPR. You could eat one night at Tchoup Chop, they have a nice kids menu. Jakes is casual fun atmosphere, great food. Island Dining has a more extensive menu and although good, I would pick Tchoup Chop over it. One night it would be fun to have dinner poolside from the Bula Bar, very good burgers, salads and wraps.

Keep in mind that CityWalk is a very quick walk or boat ride away that offers lots of dining choices.

You say ONE night and CHEAP?? Hmmm... If you want to eat at the hotel and spend the least amount of money, you could get sandwiches or burgers at the beach bar and just keep enjoying the pool. Otherwise, I guess Jakes would be the least expensive at the RPR.

Oops, I meant those as two separate questions. We like to eat and frankly I'm willing to pay a little extra for a nice dinner on our last night of vacation.

The part I want "cheap" is the hotel room. I have heard that booking your room and tickets through the website is usually not the least expensive way to go, and I'm wondering if someone knows a way to get a better deal for one night at RPR.

Sorry I wasn't clear.

If you belong to AAA, see if a AAA discount in available for your stay. I don't know if you plan on visiting often, but they offer hotel discounts with the annual pass also.
Back to the dinner...If you want a really special meal (not cheap) at the RPR, then make a reservation at Tchoup Chop.
