Just curious what restaurants you would suggest for a special occasion...I've been to Victoria & Albert's so I was thinking of somewhere different! Any thoughts would be fantastic!!!

Thanks in advance.

We're looking at doing Jiko for our next special occassion. We haven't been yet, so I can't give an opinion, but I hear many people rave about it.

Also, are you looking for a fun atmosphere or a romantic atmosphere?

Don't forget to let them know that you're celebrating, though, whever you go, because they'll usually do something special for you!

In Dec we went to Bistro de Paris. It was so awesome and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend it. We had a wonderful romantic evening together.

We ate at Rose and Crown on our anniversary two years ago. While it may not seem like the most romantic place, we were given a table on the patio (didn't have to ask, but mentioned it was our anniversary when I made the PS) and stayed through Illuminations. The walk out of Epcot back to the BWV was easily the most magical part of the night. Rose and Crown has been our "must go" to restuarant at WDW ever since, even if it's just for lunch.

Thanks for all the info so far! We're looking for more on the romantic side, preferably with a view of some kind.

For romantic places with a view, that includes California Grill and Narcoossees. I haven't been to either of those, either!

We did go to Le Cellier for Valentine's Day, which had an excellent atmosphere, but no view whatsoever. ;)

DH and I ate at Todd English's Bluezoo on Tuesday, May 25th, and it is a very nice restaurant. Great food, quieter than the nicer sit-down places in the parks and although there's not really a view, the decor in the restaurant is beautiful and you don't need a view. It would be an excellent choice for an anniversary or any romantic celebration.

We're going to California grill for our Anniversary Aug. 10th! We've never been so I am really looking forward to it. We hope to catch Wishes!

After V&A, my next choice for a special dinner at WDW would be California Grill. Great view, great food , great service.

Other places I'd consider would include Citricos, Bistro de Paris, Jiko, Artist Point and Narcoossee's (but we like it there on the early side). Blue Zoo sounds interesting too although we've not dined there yet.

We've done Narcoose's and Ca grill, both good but we like Narcoose's better, you can go outside and watch the fireworks. It's harder to see the fireworks from Ca grill if your table is not towards the MK. Narcoose's is smaller and right on the lagoon.

Have a great time.:wave2:

We love Artist Point and go on every trip for an "adult" dinner (we ditch the kids, either with my mom or the cub's den)

The food is awesome, the tables are spread out, and although there isn't much of a view (unless you request the windows overlooking the WL pool), I find it to be quite romantic and relaxing. We've done CG before, and although we liked it very much, the atmosphere is more hectic and less intimate, plus it tends to be noisy.

Thanks to all of you! I'm going to enjoy looking into all the places you mentioned!!!

We are thinking of doing the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club for our anniversary on our next trip. We haven't tried it before, so I have no idea how romantic it is.

I had PS at CG for our 10th on May 16 I mentioned it was our anniversary and we had a window seat over looking the kingdom I had made the PS for 1hr before park closing and we got watch wishes as the lowered the lights and piped the music in and the food and our Waitress were both A1.

Casting another vote for France! I can't remember which is the restaurant upstairs, (I THINK is the Bistro) but I went with my parents in January (o.k., fun, but not romantic, though if I'd been there w/dh it would have been) and there were many windows overlooking Epcot with its twinkly trees and such. The food was also pretty incredible.

There's an undiscovered treasure called Arthur's 27 at the Wyndham Resort near Downtown Disney! If you're looking for a restaurant for a special anniversary I would highly recommend it. It's on the 27th floor of the hotel, with panoramic views that rival the California Grill's, the food has been outstanding, the service attentive, and it's quiet! We like to alternate between it and the California Grill for a special evening.

Ditto! We ended up choosing this one because of the menu and reviews Ive heard. Plus we want to be in the Epcot resort area to go to Jellyrolls after dinner, and possibly catch Illuminations in between if the timing works out right. :D

Enjoy whatever you choose!

Jellyrolls is a bar on the Boardwalk. There are 2 piano players who take requests and usually play all those fun, sing along type songs. We went once and really had a blast so we cant wait to get back there on our "night out". :D

I agree with CamColt--Jellyrolls is a great place to celebrate any occassion--birthdays, anniversary, promotions, Thursday nights ;)

Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar at the Boardwalk. As CamColt said, there are two piano players onstage who take requests (just write what you want to hear, and put a couple of bucks down on the piano), and lead everyone in singing some great songs (lots of Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffet, Elton John, Bob Seger, etc.). Four piano players play each night, and they are all very good (Scotty and Ray are my favorites--if you go and you see Scotty, tell him Karen from Boston says hi ;)

If you aren't the shy type, be sure to mention your annivesary. You will most likely get dragged onstage to do a dance of some sort. It's loads of fun :)

There is a $7 cover charge to get into bar, and it's worth every penny. It's a lot of fun.
