Help! I've always done disney packages but do not plan to do so for my next trip in December. Is there any benefit to buying my park tixs directly through disney? Would love to purchase through mousesavers or a similar site but don't want to miss out on any perks disney provides? Thanks for any advice!

No difference in perks at all. Just be sure you're buying your tickets from a reputable agency. Many folks have been ripped-off buying from parking lot booths advertising discounted park tickets.

I have used Undercover Tourist twice now (just did for our December trip last year) and used the link through Mousesavers to save even more - they are genuine Disney tickets, and we had no problem with them - even upgraded them to AP's without any issue whatsoever. And they shipped quickly (and free!)

Questions for the OP are you staying on site? Do you have to buy park tickets from Disney if you are doing a package? Don't mean to hijack I just never thought about buying tickets from someone else while staying on property.

When we've stayed off-site, I've used Undercover Tourist (with Mousesavers link) - I had no problems, but I did make copies of them just in case they were lost.

On-site, always through disney, I love the key to the world card, it makes things so easy.

No, you don't have to include your park tickets when you book. You can just book a room only :thumbsup2

The discounts I have seen for tickets are very, very minimal compared to buying your tickets direct. Though there may be a convenience factor to buying your tickets somewhere else and not standing in a long ticket line (for example at the MK ticket & transportation center). Sometimes I will go to the Contemporary and buy my tickets there as there is rarely a line.

bought our tickets from Undercover Tourist the last few times. We have been buying ten day park hoppers with no expiration. That may not be the case next time as Disney has been raising the price of the no expiration option at a faster clip than other options. Still for two adults and two kids tickets and using the MS newsletter link (it does save money), I probably saved $60 - $80 dollars total compared to buying from Disney direct. As a percentage of the cost it's not too high. The savings per hours of time needed to order is very high since it's as easy or easier than ordering from Disney.

The service has always been excellent. I think the last time we ordered on a Friday and received via mail the following Wednesday or Thursday. They are authorized resellers and you receive the actual tickets. You can add them to your KTTW card or just use the tickets that are sent. UT also keeps a record of your ticket number in case you lose one. (I would still copy the tickets. It prevents having to contact UT in case you lose a ticket, but it's a nice backup.)

The Mousesavers.com newsletter may take a month to receive depending on when you sign up as your name is just added to the list for the next one. Even without the newsletter there is some savings if you are buying tickets for a longer period of time say seven to ten days.

If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S Forum, especially Post #20, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.

Has anyone used greatorlandodiscounts.com after looking around it seems they have the best prices. Any help would be great. Thanks

1. I have checked the internal Disney listing and they are not on the list of authorized resellers; they may be a time share promotion.
2. Any purchases that you make you should consider both Sales Tax and shipping. Disney does not include the Sales Tax in posted prices, it is added at the end. Some locations will include the tax.
