Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

I originaly bought the Illuminations CD for the Tapesty of Dreams part but I have fallen in love with the Illuminations score. When I work late it is my driving home music. It takes me most of the way home.

Now I need to look for the MSEP CD in 6 days!

Oh, explain to me what Tapestry of Dreams was -- the kids and I were wondering what it was because we had never seen it or heard anything about it.

The Illuminations score is so awesome! Chelsea's favorite part starts around 3:28, and she always turns it up when she is with me in the car. LOL!

Oh Charles, way to be a sport! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: I guess he surprised you with that one, huh?

I LOVE Illuminations! I haven't seen it the last few trips but since we're so close to Epcot at Beach Club, maybe I'll get to see it one night.

LOVE the shopping purchases!

Tapestry of Dreams was the parade they had in Epcot around the millennium.
it started as Tapestry of Nations in 1999 and ran until 2001.
Allears has some more history at
Tapestry of Nations

A good visual maybe it is like the Jammin Jungle parade at AK. Similar puppets. The score on the CD has the whole track I guess including a lot of "dreamer" snippets. I do not remember those at all.:rotfl2:
The main part has a bit of an African feel to it and you can hear that at EPCOT after Illuminations.

It made EPCOT very crowded and I do remember watching it with my children when they were small and loving the parade but not having any room to walk.

My favorite part if Illuminations is the very beginning- The chaos part.
I just feel it is so "strong".

Chelsea likes the Life part- At least what I think is the Life part. They are listed on the back of the CD. I just tried to figured out where the transitons were and named them myself.

I never got to see the Tapestry of Dreams either, but loved the music for it on my Illuminations CD so I youtubed it. You can find lots of videos of the parade on there. Here's a pretty good one - hope you enjoy it!

I'm just joining your TR. Better late that never, right? I am really enjoying it. Your kids are adorable and Connor is so funny. I am planning on going to MeMom's Atlanta DISmeet. Hope to see you there.

Oh my gosh, Connor!!! :lmao: I LOVE his interaction with the CM...so cute!

Charles suggested seeing IllumiNations? Wow! :woohoo: That's very cool that you ALL got to see it, even if you were a little cranky! ;)

Can't wait to hear about Animal Kingdom...we love that park too!!! :yay:

Connor is so funny! Love the running commentary! LOL You really were off your game that day. :confused3

Oh my gosh, Jackie! How did I get 16 pages behind?? Oh yeah, LIFE!

I don't want to just skim through it, though, I want to take my time to get caught up, because I know it's going to be good, so I won't be able to do it today. :upsidedow Be back tomorrow. Hope you had a nice weekend and I wish you a great week! :)

First off, Connor is a hoot! What a great imagination. We've never done the mission in Germany. Thanks for sharing your pictures. We'll have to put in on the list.

My group can spend hours in the the store in Japan. This last trip we spent more time there than anywhere.

Sorry you were a little down. I can totally understand. The two things you wanted to do didn't get done and you spent your day pleasing everyone else. But watching Illuminations with you whole family is the best way to end your day in Epcot.

All caught up! Looks like a nice evening in Epcot and Connor is too funny! Love his response to the CM. That was some Freaky Friday stuff with Ilumination but glad y'all enjoyed it.

Glad Chelsea and Connor liked their gifts...again so nice! Looking forward to reading about AK!

Connor is so awesome! :thumbsup2

I can't believe it was Charles first time seeing Illuminations!

Cool soccer shirts. :thumbsup2

Connor cracks me up! I love his personality. I wonder if they will still have the KP missions when my kids are old enough to do them.

Glad you all got to enjoy Illuminations together! Great way to end the day!

Great update,
The Kim Possible mission looks like fun, I wanted to do it on our last trip, but we didn't. I think we just forgot about it.
Can't wait to read about your time at Animal Kingdom! popcorn::

The KP mission sounds like fun! Connor is so witty.

Love the soccer shirts :thumbsup2

That's great Charles wanted to stay and watch Illuminations and you all got to watch it together.

Conner is so funny, I loved the raincoat thing. Maybe he will be like my third son, always witty as a child & still has that sense of fun at age 34.

Oh Charles, way to be a sport! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: I guess he surprised you with that one, huh?

Very much so!

I LOVE Illuminations! I haven't seen it the last few trips but since we're so close to Epcot at Beach Club, maybe I'll get to see it one night.

You will have to make a point of walking over to see it again!

LOVE the shopping purchases!

Thanks! Love Disney shopping!

Okay, so I am not losing my mind. That would have been during our Disney Drought from 1998 to 2004. :rotfl: I was telling Chelsea and Connor about it after reading your post, and Connor wanted to know where the parade route was...

My favorite part if Illuminations is the very beginning- The chaos part.
I just feel it is so "strong".

The beginning is very stirring! I like that part, too. My favorite part starts around 6:00, but my absolute favorite part is right around the 8:00 mark all the way to the end. I need to go look at the back of my CD case to see what that part is called.

I never got to see the Tapestry of Dreams either, but loved the music for it on my Illuminations CD so I youtubed it. You can find lots of videos of the parade on there. Here's a pretty good one - hope you enjoy it!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing the link, Michelle! Now I can visualize it better.

Welcome! You aren't late at all! Are you bringing your boys? I am sure Connor would love to meet some more DIS children.

Oh my gosh, Connor!!! :lmao: I LOVE his interaction with the CM...so cute!

I love when Connor talks to and interacts with the CMs. He has no problem doing it at Disney -- very outgoing there.

Charles suggested seeing IllumiNations? Wow! :woohoo: That's very cool that you ALL got to see it, even if you were a little cranky! ;)

It was a perfect way to end our Epcot night!

Can't wait to hear about Animal Kingdom...we love that park too!!! :yay:

It truly is my favorite park, and I always seem to end up with about three times more pictures there than anywhere else.

Connor is so funny! Love the running commentary! LOL You really were off your game that day. :confused3

It was so unlike me, but you know I do tend to have at least one meltdown per trip at Epcot. LOL!

Oh my gosh, Jackie! How did I get 16 pages behind?? Oh yeah, LIFE!

Life keeps getting in the way of my DIS boarding, too.

I don't want to just skim through it, though, I want to take my time to get caught up, because I know it's going to be good, so I won't be able to do it today. :upsidedow Be back tomorrow. Hope you had a nice weekend and I wish you a great week! :)

Take your time! Don't forget there are links on the front page.

Connor is our little comedian. ;) The Germany mission was very neat.

My group can spend hours in the the store in Japan. This last trip we spent more time there than anywhere.

It was the only store we visited twice.

Sorry you were a little down. I can totally understand. The two things you wanted to do didn't get done and you spent your day pleasing everyone else. But watching Illuminations with you whole family is the best way to end your day in Epcot.

Yes, watching Illuminations did restore my mood somewhat! :thumbsup2

Connor always makes us smile. LOL! Yes, definitely some Freaky Friday shenanigans going on!

I can't wait to start writing about Animal Kingdom. We had some great moments there, too!

Connor is so awesome! :thumbsup2

Thanks! He keeps us smiling!

I can't believe it was Charles first time seeing Illuminations!

It takes him awhile to get around to things sometimes. LOL!

Cool soccer shirts. :thumbsup2

Charles and Chelsea were quite proud of their mad shopping skills.

Connor cracks me up! I love his personality. I wonder if they will still have the KP missions when my kids are old enough to do them.

Glad you all got to enjoy Illuminations together! Great way to end the day!

I know Connor is hoping the KP missions are around for a long time to come! :thumbsup2

Love the soccer shirts :thumbsup2

That's great Charles wanted to stay and watch Illuminations and you all got to watch it together.

Connor always has the best lines. LOL!

Thanks! The boys in our family have been wearing them with pride!

Watching Illuminations was a nice way to end the evening.

Conner is so funny, I loved the raincoat thing. Maybe he will be like my third son, always witty as a child & still has that sense of fun at age 34.

That's my hope!!! :goodvibes (That and he sticks with his goal of becoming an Imagineer. ;))

Here to catch up :)
We did the same KP mission. I love the stop in the Christmas store.

Welcome back, Jen!!! How was the trip besides the tooth pain???

I know Connor is hoping the KP missions are around for a long time to come! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Connor would never let us forget to do a KP mission. :lmao:

Can Connor come with us in October? For the last three trips, we have said that we are going to do a KP mission. To date, we have done approximately zero. :upsidedow

I am thinking since we (Brooklynn and I) won't have hoppers for this trip, and we know we will be in Epcot in the morning, take an afternoon break, and then go back to Epcot - maybe we can get one in. :cool2:
