Oh Charles, way to be a sport!

I guess he surprised you with that one, huh?
Very much so!
I LOVE Illuminations! I haven't seen it the last few trips but since we're so close to Epcot at Beach Club, maybe I'll get to see it one night.
You will have to make a point of walking over to see it again!
LOVE the shopping purchases!
Thanks! Love Disney shopping!
Tapestry of Dreams was the parade they had in Epcot around the millennium.
it started as Tapestry of Nations in 1999 and ran until 2001.
Allears has some more history at
Tapestry of Nations
A good visual maybe it is like the Jammin Jungle parade at AK. Similar puppets. The score on the CD has the whole track I guess including a lot of "dreamer" snippets. I do not remember those at all.
The main part has a bit of an African feel to it and you can hear that at EPCOT after Illuminations.
It made EPCOT very crowded and I do remember watching it with my children when they were small and loving the parade but not having any room to walk.
Okay, so I am not losing my mind. That would have been during our Disney Drought from 1998 to 2004.

I was telling Chelsea and Connor about it after reading your post, and Connor wanted to know where the parade route was...
My favorite part if Illuminations is the very beginning- The chaos part.
I just feel it is so "strong".
Chelsea likes the Life part- At least what I think is the Life part. They are listed on the back of the CD. I just tried to figured out where the transitons were and named them myself.
The beginning is very stirring! I like that part, too. My favorite part starts around 6:00, but my absolute favorite part is right around the 8:00 mark all the way to the end. I need to go look at the back of my CD case to see what that part is called.
I never got to see the Tapestry of Dreams either, but loved the music for it on my Illuminations CD so I youtubed it. You can find lots of videos of the parade on there.
Here's a pretty good one - hope you enjoy it!
Very cool! Thanks for sharing the link, Michelle! Now I can visualize it better.
I'm just joining your TR. Better late that never, right? I am really enjoying it. Your kids are adorable and Connor is so funny. I am planning on going to MeMom's Atlanta DISmeet. Hope to see you there.
Welcome! You aren't late at all! Are you bringing your boys? I am sure Connor would love to meet some more DIS children.
Oh my gosh, Connor!!!

I LOVE his interaction with the CM...so cute!
I love when Connor talks to and interacts with the CMs. He has no problem doing it at Disney -- very outgoing there.
Charles suggested seeing IllumiNations? Wow!

That's very cool that you ALL got to see it, even if
you were a little cranky!
It was a perfect way to end our Epcot night!
Can't wait to hear about Animal Kingdom...we love that park too!!!
It truly is my favorite park, and I always seem to end up with about three times more pictures there than anywhere else.
Connor is so funny! Love the running commentary! LOL You really were off your game that day.
It was so unlike me, but you know I do tend to have at least one meltdown per trip at Epcot. LOL!
Oh my gosh, Jackie! How did I get 16 pages behind?? Oh yeah, LIFE!
Life keeps getting in the way of my DIS boarding, too.
I don't want to just skim through it, though, I want to take my time to get caught up, because I know it's going to be good, so I won't be able to do it today.

Be back tomorrow. Hope you had a nice weekend and I wish you a great week!
Take your time! Don't forget there are links on the front page.
First off, Connor is a hoot! What a great imagination. We've never done the mission in Germany. Thanks for sharing your pictures. We'll have to put in on the list.
Connor is our little comedian.

The Germany mission was very neat.
My group can spend hours in the the store in Japan. This last trip we spent more time there than anywhere.
It was the only store we visited twice.
Sorry you were a little down. I can totally understand. The two things you wanted to do didn't get done and you spent your day pleasing everyone else. But watching Illuminations with you whole family is the best way to end your day in Epcot.
Yes, watching Illuminations did restore my mood somewhat!
