We’re going in October (hopefully) for 20 days, but not staying on property. Paying OOP! :scared1: For all those that pay OOP, how many TS’ do you tend to reserve… one everyday… one every other day… or third day? Seems to be adding up to a lot of money!!!

Have a list of fourteen TS’, but must remove at least four, if not six. Would like to have your views on any or all.

1. California Grill
2. Narcoosees
3. Citricos
4. Yatchsman Steakhouse
5. Il Mulino
6. Chefs De France
7. Le Cellier
8. Liberty Tree Tavern
9. Yak & Yeti
10. Mama Melrose
11. Garden View Tea
12. Boma Breakfast
13. Kona Breakfast
14. Mythos

Of the above list, we have only been to Liberty Tree, Le Cellier, Boma & Mythos. We also had the opportunity to do Jiko, 1900 Park Fare, Brown Derby & Nine Dragons on a previous trip, but prefer not to repeat them right away.
We would ideally like to have one table service per park.

We are tremendously food focused :goodvibes, like spicy food & love dessert. What would you remove?

California Grill Amazing food and service!
Citricos To die for meal and incredible service!
Yatchsman Steakhouse Great service, food was just eh
Il Mulino What a fantastic place, huge portions, great food and wonderful service
Chefs De France Love lunch, do not like dinner at all...the food is ick for dinner. The service was just so so and the atmosphere is too loud
Le Cellier Love it here
Liberty Tree Tavern Had the most wonderful lunch ever! Huge portions and great service
Yak & Yeti Did not like the appies or desserts but loved the entrees
Mama Melrose Very good food
Garden View Tea Incredible experience
Boma Breakfast Our favorite in all of WDW
Kona Breakfast Love this place...always a huge hit with us

Thats why we get the delux dining plan. We like to eat TS for dinner & lunch and more than half for dinner are signatures. We don't do breakfast even if we have left over credits but it still saves us a lot of money at the end.

1. California Grill - Good - has a nice view, food is decent, can get very loud, pointless to go IMO if you cannot get seating 60 minutes before Wishes.
2. Narcoosees - Decent food, not my favorite in terms of selections, popular for their surf and turf.
3. Citricos - Really good, prefer to Narcoosees, ambience is really nice, pretty quiet.
4. Yatchsman Steakhouse - Love their steaks, relaxing ambience, good food.
5. Il Mulino - Have Not Been
6. Chefs De France - Average, missing many really good French dishes - always seems to be behind in reservations, with long waits.
7. Le Cellier - Overrated, DDP has really increased the interest in this place because of the price versus credit usage.
8. Liberty Tree Tavern - Not worth it now that the characters are gone.
9. Yak & Yeti - Decent, but nothing to rave about.
10. Mama Melrose - Average.
11. Garden View Tea - Love Tea time, we go every year.
12. Boma Breakfast - Never been for breakfast, but LOVE dinner.
13. Kona Breakfast - Never been for breakfast
14. Mythos - Universal, correct? If so, really great meal there, loved it, and it is one of the higher rated restaurants in Orlando.

I realized I didn't answer for your choices though:
1. California Grill - very good
2. Narcoosees - very good, we are going there twice this year
3. Citricos - good food & service
4. Yatchsman Steakhouse - never went
5. Il Mulino - never went
6. Chefs De France - trying this time
7. Le Cellier - we liked it for lunch for food & service
8. Liberty Tree Tavern - for lunch it was great - pot roast & pasta dish were VERY good, a must do for us but I can't comment on dinner
9. Yak & Yeti - must do, love the apps & my DH loves their ribs
10. Mama Melrose - hated the service & food, skip this on!
11. Garden View Tea - didn't go
12. Boma Breakfast - didn't go
13. Kona Breakfast - didn't go
14. Mythos - at Universal? We went for lunch, this was very good.

If you need 3 I would definitely say Mama Melrose, maybe Citricos since you are CG and Narcoosees, those 2 are must dos, & then I would pick one of the breakfasts.

1. California Grill Great sushi and flatbreads and amazing view of the Magic Kingdom, very small portions
2. Narcoosees Not one of my favorites, in fact my least favorite of Disney's more upscale restaurants. The view is pretty but the food is average at best
3. Citricos One of my favorites of Disney's restaurants but again, portions are not that big
4. Yatchsman Steakhouse Overpriced for what you get
5. Il Mulino Very very good
6. Chefs De France Very noisy with tables crowded close together, we enjoy lunch here alright but have not liked our dinners here
7. Le Cellier Overrated and not worth it if paying out of pocket
8. Liberty Tree Tavern We like the food here and portions are very good sized
9. Yak & Yeti Although portions are huge, we did not care for the food on either of our visits but most dissers rave about it. I think PF Changs is much better "chain fare" food
10. Mama Melrose No
11. Garden View Tea A definite do
12. Boma Breakfast A definite do
13. Kona Breakfast Have not done breakfast here
14. Mythos Have not done; don't even know what it is

I would remove

Mama Melrose
Narcoosees
Yak n Yeti
Yachtsman or Le Cellier, if not both

We pay OOP when we tour and love the TS restaurants. One way to save some money is to go to a TS for lunch instead of dinner. We try to get close to the last seating and then just snack in the evening. Next day we do the TS for dinner and CS for lunch. Keeps us from feeling foodie-deprived!

My picks:

Mama Melrose-mediocre
Chefs De France-blah..overrrated
Liberty Tree Tavern--agree, no characters--not worth it
Boma-only been there for dinner and I know many people love it (so I can't vouch for breakfast), but my fam did not enjoy the strange flavour combinations and we are from a huge city with all types of ethnic foods!!

my 2 cents:)

I'd skip Le Cellier, it's good, but overrated. I'd possibly also skip LTT, Mama Melrose's, and Chefs de France.

1. California Grill - Excellent food & service but can be loud

2. Narcoosees - I don't think this really should be a signature restaurant. Food is ok but there are other signatures that are much better.

3. Citricos - I love Citrico's! Excellent food & service with a great atmosphere. This and Flying Fish are my two favorites.

4. Yatchsman Steakhouse - Pretty good. I've only been once but we had good service and food.

6. Chefs De France - Not bad although I think the tables are too close.

7. Le Cellier - The food is ok but I've always had to wait waaay beyond my ADR time. To me it's not worth it.

8. Liberty Tree Tavern - Love it for lunch! The only reason to go here for dinner was when they had characters because the interaction was always great. I don't think I would go just for the food at dinner.

9. Yak & Yeti - I was disappointed. The service was haphazard and food was mediocre.

10. Mama Melrose - I enjoyed it the one time I ate there. Good food and a really good server.

11. Garden View Tea - Another one I was disappointed with and it goes to the service. Our waitress was horrible.

12. Boma Breakfast - Love Boma for breakfast & dinner! Always something to please everyone!

13. Kona Breakfast - Kona for breakfast is a must do in my family!

Oh---and I LOVE Boma....never had breakfast there...only dinner! Dinner is a must for us! :)

I'd cut Mama Melrose...we hated it and will never go back. The food was terrible.

I've never been to the Yachtsman, but I've read that it's not as good as Le Cellier. We love Le Cellier.

We love Liberty Tree. We used to go for dinner and now we go for lunch. The dinner is delicious, but I feel that it's nothing I can't make at home.

1. California Grill great food, service was very good and if you can see the fireworks it adds a little something extra
2. NarcooseesUnless this is a must do I would cut it, not as good as the other signatures
3. CitricosReally good and tends to be less crowded then most signatures
4. Yatchsman SteakhouseWe love steakhouses and this one doesn't dissappoint
5. Il Mulinonever been
6. Chefs De FranceI would cut this, the food is not so good and we have a great french restaurant that we go to frequently back home so this felt like a waste to me
7. Le CellierGood, but overrated, reminds me of Outback or something similar in terms of quality. The food is good but it's definitely not the same as a signature restaurant
8. Liberty Tree TavernLunch is awesome, I would skip dinner unless you want Thanksgiving food
9. Yak & YetiWe didn't care for it, found the service and food to be severely lacking, but many Dis'ers love it
10. Mama Melrose Never been, we're from NY so we tend to avoid Italian food when on vacation
11. Garden View Tea We really enjoyed this, but you could cut this and if you've never done it you probably wouldn't really miss it.
12. Boma Breakfast Again I don't get the hype with this one, the food was good, but I like Tusker House Breakfast much better and that one has characters
13. Kona Breakfast never been
14. Mythosnever been

For Epcot have you thought of trying Tutto Italia? The food is really great, but I guess OOP, it could be pricey

In our personal opinion

1. California Grill
2. Narcoosees - Remove. Very costly for what you get. Basically a dressed up Red Lobster
3. Citricos
4. Yatchsman Steakhouse
5. Il Mulino
6. Chefs De France - Remove. Horrible service and mediocre food.
7. Le Cellier
8. Liberty Tree Tavern - Remove. Adequate food, but you can do better in the MK or nearby.
9. Yak & Yeti
10. Mama Melrose
11. Garden View Tea
12. Boma Breakfast
13. Kona Breakfast - Remove. Seriously no better than IHOP's fancy pancakes and omelets. Plus the atmosphere is lacking being just off of the monorail entrance/exit. Very much a cafeteria feel.
14. Mythos

I wasn't impressed with the Yachtman's Steakhouse and wouldn't use two credits on it.

I would cut some of the more expensive meals. Since Citricos and Narcoosee's are at the same resort, I'd choose just one of those. I also agree on Liberty Tree Tavern. The counter service choices in the MK are varied enough where we hardly ever get ADRs in this park. Hope this helps a little!

You won't get spicy at WDW restaurants, although desserts can be good.

Here are the restaurants I have been to in order of preference:
1. Narcoosees -- very good food, good location, nice setting. Almond crusted cheesecake ... yum!
2. California Grill -- great location, good food. I have been disappointed the last couple of times for the price.
3. Yatchsman Steakhouse -- good steaks, boring setting. Steaks are better at Shula's.
4. Citricos -- Eh ... ate here twice was OK but not terribly impressed both times.
5. Chefs De France -- Love their pris fixe lunch! Loved meeting Remy
6. Yak & Yeti -- OK food, spicier than most.
7. Le Cellier -- Not all that it is cracked up to be. Especially when paying OOP for it.
8. Boma Breakfast -- Interesting variety of food for breakfast. I prefer this place for dinner.
9. Mama Melrose -- Boring, plain pastas.
10. Kona Breakfast -- Boring plain breakfast with characters.
11. Liberty Tree Tavern -- One of the worst meals I have ever had a WDW. I will never go back.

I have not been to these places.
11. Garden View Tea
14. Mythos
5. Il Mulino
