I am starting this thread to see where everyone's favorite "quiet" spot is

I posted this in another thread but after my last trip in January my new favorite quiet spot is the small sushi place in Japan... kinda out of the way and very peacefull to look over everything and everyone

On the TTA, whenever we are hot and tired, we usually go for a quick spin, put our feet up and relax.

I have a few:

- on one of the benches on the Hub in MK, facing the Castle

- on one side of Spaceship Earth, near Innoventions West, closer to SE, but able to see the Fountain...or outside the American Pavillion with a view of SE, just as the Drum Corps come along

- near Echo Lake in MGM

There's a little park behind the store street in the UK section of EPCOT. Last time I was there, they had a Mary Poppins topiary. :earboy2:

Hmmm... let's see...probably in the MK at the Bench area across from the Dole Whip stand in Adventureland.

Mike :earsboy:

Got a bunch of them:
1. the chairs on the porch in front of Exposition Hall, where you can watch all the people coming from under the train station, seeing the castle for the first time
2. On a rocking chair on TSI, listening to HM and the backround music
3. On a bench on the DIscovery Island Trails at AK
4. Sitting down by the water at FlameTreeBQ in AK
5. In the garden in back of the buildings at UK in Epcot
6. In the evening, it's in a swing on the beach in front of BCV

MK...a nice shaded spot in adventureland
Epcot...just about anywhere in WS but France and UK are best
MGM...back by Al's Toy Barn, especially when Toy Story characters are not out!
AK...Flame Tree BBQ area

on the balconys at cosmic rays
they are quiet (last time i was there it was warm and noone was around), has a good view of the castle and it's over by the river where the sea monster thingy is

I am just starting to discover the joys of actually sitting down in the Parks. :earboy2:

The TTA
The Rocking Chairs on the Porch outside the HM store
The Rocking Chairs on the Porch outside DHR
The Fountainview Cafe Porch, watching people & the fountain
The Fountain in France, sipping an iced cap
The Gardens in the back of UK

Funny, I only have spots in MK & Epcot. I'll have to find some favs in MGM & AK this trip.... I just don't spend nearly as much time in them as I do MK & Epcot....

The TTA or one of the rocking chairs on the side of the Hall of Presidents building. That one makes a good place to sit and wait for Spectromagic as well.

The covered tables looking at the castle from Casey's Corner. My wife and I played cards for about 2 hours before spectro one time. Then watched wishes after that. May sound like a waste of time, but priceless for us.

We love sitting in France, great music, usually quiet. Also, back in UK when the band's not playing.

On the wood sidewalk in Frontier Land, in the chairs. Good place to people watch.

MGM, we love the little pastry shop behind where you make PSs. It was closed last time we were there, but it's a nice area with tables.

We also love the benches around the Tree of Life. We usually go in September, and sat their once for over an hour, and saw no one. It was great!

TTA is always great to take a few relaxing spins on. Spaceship Earth is another one of my favs. And lastly, the plaza area in Italy. :goodvibes

Just as you enter the MK there is a photo shop, next to Tony's Resaurant. We use this as our meeting place in the Mk. There are nice benches and Rocking chairs. You can watch the people arriving and leaving the park. Hooray I just posted #100

Hot-tubbing at the hotel - soaking your legs, and feeling those tiny bubbles zip up your shins while sipping something sweet and cool is divine!

Any time we are eating.
While we are watching the fireworks
While we are on attractions like IASWAA, Little Mermaid, etc.
Any bench while we are waiting for someone to return from the restroom (though I'm usually the one going to the restroom, but DH gets a break)
While baby swapping - near Space Mt, near Splash - kiddie area, outside of Dinosaur! - are my favorites
Riding the monorail/boat/bus between parks.
Other than that, we try not to stop too much.

I love the TTA for a relaxing spot. When my DS and I were in the MK a couple of weeks ago, we played checkers on one of the tables in front of the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade and it was a nice break from the crowds.
