Hello,

Does DCL have a library? If so, what is it like and where is it located?

Thank you,
Debbie

they had a Disney Cruise Line special and they said that there is no library onboard these ships....it was one of the things that set it apart from other cruise lines. They also don't have a casino....

actually there is a library aboard the Disney Magic. i know this for sure because i have been there. when i went on my first cruise with Disney last year in May/June my friends and i discovered that there actually was a library onboard. where is this hidden library at you may ask? well, it is on deck 2. you will have to take the elevators in the middle of the ship to get to this library. i think that is where it is at. i am not for sure though. but i do know that it will be on deck 2 near the one of the sets of elevators. it has been so long since i have been on the ship that i don't know if i am still correct, but i hope this helps you bunches. are you going to be crusing anytime soon? i hope to ttyl...

Thank you Lindsey.

I didn't think that DCL had a Library but, I remember reading a thread awhile ago on “What to Pack” and I thought I remember someone saying to pack a good book because the library is limited on their selection.

Thank you for your responses.

On the Magic, the "library" is really just a small room with a rather dog-eared selection of books--maybe things people left behind? there are also some board games in there. It's on Deck 2. the only way I found it is I was waiting to talk to one of the DVC reps and waited there until my appt.

On the Magic in the coffee shop there are also books and magazines for you to borrow.

Take your own along. DD spent a good deal of her time reading on deck during our last cruise. She did find and check out the "library" and there were a few things that she would have read in a pinch. But she had packed a couple of books and I'd had several sent to Shirley and included in her basket! So she didn't have to resort to what was there.
