Where is the In N out near DL?

I love Fatburger. I think they are way better than in and out.

I ate at a Fatburger in ATL (rather the burbs of ATL) and it was ok. I thought it was greasy, but it does give a lot more options than 5 guys. I know one of the people I was with had their burger topped with egg. It doesnt appeal to me, but he liked it.

Okay...no five guys either. Hey I live in Canada. We have nothing:confused3. We just got our first IHOP in Edmonton(pop.over a million people) You Americans are so lucky. Don't you realize that Canadians cross the border so much because you guys have all the good stuff! First thing I do when I get to the US is grocery shop.I love your grocery stores.

It's not fast food, but I ate at Blueberry Hill at York University. I have no idea if they have that in Alberta, but that was one of my favorite places to eat when I went there to visit college friends. It got to a point when I would travel there, it went without saying that was our first meal.

Don't sell yourself short I have enjoyed some exotic Candian places when up north. Enjoy the places exotic to you when down in California.

Closest In n Out to Disneyland

1180 South Harbor Boulevard
Fullerton, CA 92832-3029

This one looks close, too:

600 S. BROOKHURST
ANAHEIM, CA 92804
The one on Brookhurst is closer, but the one in Fullerton would be easiest to get to via public transportation (OCTA bus #43 north-south on Harbor Blvd), and might be easier to find since it's on Harbor as is DL. YMMV.

IN CANADA? Fess up so I can check them out. I can't think of anything we might have that doesn't come out of the US:idea:(food wise I mean)

Thanks for all the suggestions. Didn't mean to start a raging Burger debate. We've made In N Out a must do every time we are out west. We even walked to the one off the Vegas strip!

We have several Five Guys in the Calgary area so I am sure they will be in Edmonton soon, if not already. Loved the burgers :thumbsup2

I still have to drive 5 hours to get to Edmonton. We do have a Fat Burger here in Grande Prairie, but we didn't like it :sad2:

I'll check and see next time I am in Edmonton if they have a Five Guys. Thanks for the heads up!

I wish Disney would let 5 Guys or In & Out run a few of the burger stands inside the park. They are much better than the garbage that Disney tries to serve. Their burgers are almost as bad as the coffee inside the parks.

I am from DC where Five Guys started. I have heard that In n Out is ranked number 2 on the best fast food burgers. So I was going to have the driver stop somewhere on the way from LAX to DLH to grab a taste.

That is awesome, but who is number 1?

We love In N Out but we were in New York in April and tried Shake Shack and let me just say as soon as I had that I said "OMG this place is better than In N Out!" :cloud9:

I cant wait to go to New York to eat there again!

Hopefully they will make one in Ca since I dont know when I will make it to New York again.

We shall see... I miss Shake Shack now that I'm in Atlanta... Not sure if they really want to expand nationwide but the Burgers are incredible... They slide right down...

Does In and Out not have a kids' menu? I've looked at their menu on their website and it appears they do not. We will be stopping there for lunch on our way down (never been before) but have 4 kids with us. Anyone know?

They don't. They have 3 things:
Burgers
Fries
Shakes/malts

It's true they have a very limited but highly customizable menu that can be scaled for adults or kids. For example, an adult might order a double double (2 patties + 2 pieces of cheese), which would come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and spread (like french dressing). For our kids, we usually order a plain cheeseburger (which would come as 1 patty + 1 cheese, no veggies or mustard, ketchup, or spread). Sometimes the kids might get a grilled cheese, which is just the cheese, no patty between the bun.

You can order the burger any size you like, i.e. 3X3 (3 patties/cheese), 3x4, 4x4, etc. I believe there is some sort of maximum (4x6 maybe?) instituted after people started getting into triple digits. Another popular option is "animal style", where the patty is grilled in mustard, onions are grilled instead of fresh, and comes with extra spread and pickles.

My personal choice these days is the double double with grilled onions (instead of fresh) and hot chiles, sauce on the side.

Other variations include "protein style" (no bun), or "veggie" (no meat but with everything else). You can also get the fries "well done" (extra crispy), "light" (soft), or "animal style" with cheese, onions, and spread on top.

They also serve coke products, lemonade, iced tea, and milk.

Thank you the Donut! That explanation helps me a lot!:yay: Each of my kids will be easily satisfied. And my DH too!
