We always visit the Disney outlets (two of them) while in Orlando. I hear rumour that there is one near Disneyland - anyone know where it is? How do you get there and how far is it from Disney? I am hoping that the deals are as great as they are in Orlando!:)

Must be talking about the Disney Character Warehouse store, well it's located at

243 Orangefair Mall
Fullerton, CA 92832

roughly about 3 miles from DL.

Do they have really good deals there? Is it worth it for us to take a taxi or the bus line to try and get there? We will not have a car while we are there?

I got a really good weight cotton shirt with tink on the front for $9.99 and the matching sweat shirt also a good weight for $19.99. I found a reversible tink hat. I picked up a tink note book with different colored pages. A tink journal. In a glass case they had framed character pins Dh got Donald Duck and I got Minnie Mouse, it is a cool sort of double thick frame silver color. A tink key chain.

Bargains DLR

They have such wonderful key chains this trip at DL I found a tink and a ears castle both of the images are embedded into the plastic so the design can't wear a way. For $2.50 each

Dd found a sword shaped pen that writes with red ink for her pirates autogragh book at DL.

I found a tink bank for $10.00 to start our new disney fund.

Depends on how much stuff you want to buy, if you want to buy a lot of stuff then I say it would be worth taking the trip to their store.

but keep one thing in mind...their inventory changes frequently and its always a hit and miss for me...you could go and they have a ton of stuff and you will make out like a bandit...or the exact opposite could happen...its a gamble..I have to say though...if your interested in the really expensive things like crystals and snowglobes etc....its a great place to get them at...

If we didn't have a car, I'm not so sure we'd bother. It would almost seem like a hassle for a gamble that may or may not pay off. I notice you live in WA state. Have you ever been to the character warehouse in Auburn/Supermall or the one in Mount Vernon/Burlington. It's very similar in terms of the deals to be had.

Yes, we live just a few miles from te outlet in Burlington - I worked at the outlet mall for 15 years! Last year before our trip to Disneyland I bought sweatshirts and some other "souvenirs". It's always fun to visit the local stores and see what they have in stock. When we are in Orlando we may visit twice to see how the stock changes.

So, is the mall the store is located in Fullerton an outlet mall or just a strip mall? Is it easy to find?:confused3

It is in a strip mall. there is an el pollo loco in the parking lot.. Also if you have to use the bathroom as my son always does there is one down the way at the coffee bean and tea leaf. there is also a dollar tree there..

Character wharehouse? What's a character wharehouse? Looks like a roadtrip is in my future. Maybe during Easter break.

Also is el pollo loco good. We aren't lucky to get good mexican food here. I could convince my DH that we could go there for mexican food, and wa-la hey look a Disney store. Imagine that!

We eat at the Sonic nearby, it is awesome food! Try the chili dog with cheesey tater tots!! yumm yumm! they have awesome drink choices too.

The character warehouse near Disneyland is a permanent one, but the ones that they had here in WA are temporary. (They travel around to different locations and are there for several weeks and then move to another location). There are none here right now, but I am hoping they will return again soon.:)

The Character Warehouse is a Disney outlet store, as you can probably tell from what other people are saying.

El Pollo Loco, IMO, is not very good. It is not mexican though. It is kind of like a cheap mexican version of KFC. (El Pollo Loco means The Crazy Chicken).

If you want to go, just tell your husband you want to drive around to see what kind of shops/restaurants are around, and "guide" him in the direction of the Disney outlet! Hopefully he doesn't catch on! :lmao:

Hi I dont know if its too late for this info but the outlet is straight down harbor it would take about 15 min to drive from disneyland. I would suggest going to the anaheim walmart right off the 5 fwy about 5 min form disney. They have a section dedicated to disney...really cute stuff. I live right behind disney, if you need any tips let me know I would be happy to help.

I usally stop by a couple of time on a trio but then I usually have a car. There is an IN and Out Burger and Costco across the parking lot/ Street.

I've done it on the city bus and it is really easy. We explored quite a bit on the bus and didn't have any problems finding our way around.
