Where is the closest Walmart and/or Target to Emerald Island?

we're renting a home in Emerald Island. I would like to stop by a Target or Walmart when we arrive. And, realistically - how long of a drive would it be? We're arriving on Friday, April 28th. We'd either go to the store around 1:00 - 2:00 pm or around dinner time (6:00 pm).

My husband is hoping he can drop me off at the store - run to the house to drop off luggage and come back for me. I'm thinking the stores will not be close enough to the house to do that.

Any input/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

wish way are you coming? down the turnpike taking the us27 route -

or coming from an airport taking the 417 toll road?

If we go around 1-2 pm, we'll be coming from the airport using the 417 toll road. If we go later, we'll be coming from Blizzard Beach.

There is a super wal-mart on 27 about about 10-15 min away.

if you are going tollroad 417 from the airport. then instead of going straight on 536 west - you will be turning left on 535. the walmart is on your right about 1 mile (may not be that long) on this road.

this is the newest walmart but it is also the busiest.....

the one on us 27 is not nearly as busy.

Is it a Super Wal mart with food?

I know the one on US 27 and the older one of US 192 both are.

this place is so busy (by looking at the parking lot) - that I have never even stopped here....

I prefer the one on US 27 - far, less people... so I go out of my way to avoid the crowds.

So I can't say - but since it is that busy I am assuming it is.
