Which rest. has the best steak/fillet? Cali Grill is out since there are no openings, but I am considering Jikos and Citricos and Yachtman's. Do any of the non signature places have good steak?

Had a really yummy fillet at Le Cellier (DBF would have bathed in the truffle butter if I had let him!)

The veal shank at Citricos was very good.

I had an excellent steak two weeks ago at the Maya Grill at CSR. We we pleasantly surprised at the meal, and the service. We would return - and had no problem getting an ADR last minute. Perhaps a little out of the way, but we thought it was worth it when the evening was done.

I assume all the restaurants are for Disney World?

Yes.

My husband always eats alot of steaks when we go to WDW. Our absolute favorite steak is the one at Flying Fish. They only have one on the menu (char crusted NY strip), but it is really, really good. We prefer it over any we've had at Yachtsman. Other good steaks are at Yachtsman Steak House at YC, Mama Melrose, Coral Reef, Rose & Crown, Le Cellier, Maya Grill at CSR, Kona at Poly, Turf Club at SSR, Artist Point at WL, Narcoosee at GF, and Jiko at AKL. We've never eaten there but Shulas at the S/D also gets excellent reviews. I once ordered the steak at Citricos and also the one at California Grill, but was not impressed with either. I do love the veal shank, pork two ways, and beef short ribs at Citricos and the pork loin at Califoria Grill though.

I assume you meant beef steaks, but Artist Point has a buffalo steak that is really, really good too. We order it just about every time we eat there.

We went to Yachtsman our last trip and thought it was NOT worth 2 credits. It wasn't necessarily bad, just not great.

Believe it or not, my DH had a great steak during our most recent trip at The Hollywood Brown Derby at DHS. We've been to YS and it was good. We've been to Le Cellier. Sadly, I found it to be overrated. (We pay OOP using a TIW card for the discount. So, we are more critical of our meals when paying OOP and not on Free Dining or part of the Dining Plan.)

We have an ADR for Jiko in a few weeks and we both plan on getting the steak w/mac & cheese. I'll report back with our opinions. ;)

The filet you order at Artist's Point is the same beef they use at Victoria and Alberts.

Best filet I ate was at Citrico's. Absolutely, unbelievably good!!

We second the vote for Flying Fish, not just the best steak at Disney but the best steak EVER! Who would have thought, steak at a "fish" restaurant but it was really good, we also sat at the open kitchen & watched the chefs cooking, it was terrific. Already have an ADR here for when we are back in April.
