For those of you who have already seen Wishes, where do you recommend as the best view. I know they shoot fireworks off from all over the park now, but is there a "Central" location we should try to get a spot at? Main St, the Hub, behind the castle, etc...

I thought I saw another thread where they had done some previews of some parts of the new show.

According to a schedule I saw, WISHES is supposed to be on the 9th while I'm there....

I'll definitely post about it when I return! ::MickeyMo

Just want to hop on this thread to find out the answer! :D

Bump, Are there any CM's out there who may have seen the practices after hours? Or has anyone seen any part of this?

If not, I guess we are all depending on you April. No pressure though...

I'll be happy to post about "Wishes" as soon as I get back home Friday afternoon!

I saw on another board a CM said the Hub is the best viewing area.
Can't wait to seeit myself.

I would be willing to bet that the best viewing spot would be in the hub but not right in front of the castle. Steve Davison, who designed Wishes, also designed Disneyland's two firework shows (Believe... There's Magic In THe Stars and Believe... In Holiday Magic). He loves to use the castle as a focal point, and he loves to use low level pyrotechnics to really "paint" a picture. So, at Disneyland, if you're too close to the castle, you end missing out on some of the low level stuff.

You should be in for a real treat when you see the show.

I'm trying to picture this in my head and failing...are you thinking as far away as Main street or by the palza pavilion rest. or about where. guess I'm trying to figure out how low they would be to be able to be seen above the crowds but low still.
Thanks

I was at MK on Saturday night and at MNSSHP on Sunday night and hoped for a preview of Wishes, but both nights were the old Fantasy in the Sky (with the addition of the special fireworks for MNSSHP).

The official premiere is tomorrow night during the press event (which I'll be attending!). It's closed to the general public, so I'm guessing the 9th is correct, as somebody posted above. From the preliminary press information, it sounds like it will be quite a bit bigger -- as in encompassing a wider area -- than some of the previous shows. That should mean you can see it well from more areas of the park, but we'll see.

Thought this might get us all more excited about WISHES....the old fireworks were....8 minutes and 300 shells....WISHES will be 12 minutes and 800 shells. Doesn't that sound great? This is going to be a fantastic new addition....I can't wait. I also read that a CM suggested best viewing is from the hub in front of the castle. Hope we can see it many times and come to our own conclusion as to where is the best spot.<p><MARQUEE><font size=+2 color=red <marquee> ºoº...We are going to DisneyWorld...ºoº</MARQUEE><p>

Anyone know how many shells are used for Illuminations? Wishes is being promoted as being on par with llyuminations.
