Where is the best place to get a Margarita?

I read on this Board somewhere that the Fiesta Margarita from Mexico at Epcot is terrific. Although I am not sure exactly where in Mexico you get it but I have it on my list of "must try" goodies for our upcoming trip!

:sunny:

DH swears by the margarita stand in DTD. He says it is so much better than the Mexican margarita stand at EPCOT.

I don't drink margaritas but all I know is that we have to make a trip to DTD just for dh to get his margarita!

San Angel Inn in Mexico has a delicious Mango Margarita. The Fiesta Margarita at the stand in Mexico is also good, I haven't tried the one at DTD but I'll make it a point to go next Sept. We're staying at CSR & I hear they also have a good one.

DH loves margaritas and loves the stand just outside of Mexico. He's tried the one at DTD and says the Mexico stand has more flavors. The DTD makes other types of drinks too.

I'm not a margarita snob - so I will drink any of them.

BUT my favorite is actually in Italy. The Italian Margarita with Amaretto in it, too! :thumbsup2

I had a margarita from the stand in Mexico in Dec and thought it was horrible. I think it was strawberry. I also had the Grand Marnier slush in France which was tasty. I love margaritas though so will look into Italy and DTD!

I had a margarita in Mexico...it was the layered one....is this the Fiesta? Anyway, it was good!!

I agree...the margaritas in Mexico are horrible. I really liked the Grand Marnier slush ffom France as well. We were there in December too...so maybe it was just a bad time for margaritas in Mexico.:drinking1

This is why I love these boards!!!

I guess I will just have to go to Mexico, DTD, Italy, & France to decide for myself!!! DH just better be there to hold me up!!:lmao:

I never would have even known there were so many other options!

I guess I should have also said I prefer frozen than "on the rocks", do any of these places offer frozen?

We are going in August & I know I am going to need plenty of refreshments!:rotfl:

Thanks!

DTD got my vote too. I  Margaritas!

I only drink regular (lime) margaritas and I love the frozen ones in Mexico.

There is also a great one at a small stand at the food area at DHS that is down across from the Backlot tour area (is that Backlot express?)

I didn't use to like the ones that were at Captain Jack's if that is the one people are talking about in DTD but I do like the ones that are in the stands at PI now (but I would still rather have the clubs back).

At sit down restaurants the Narcarita at Narcoossees is really good and I recall having margaritas and drinking them all at ESPN and Planet Hollywood too.

San Angel Inn has very good margaritas but they are closing for rehab 5/10.

In all honesty, its tough to find a decent margarita in WDW. Most places use sour mixes that are just nasty. The best one I've found, I and I think I've tried them all, is at the Cabana Pool bar at the Dolphin. No mix, just fresh juices and premium tequila.

Oh, this just made my day...I didn't know they had Italian Margaritas in Italy (don't know why I never thought to look though, duh :rotfl:) Those are my favorite!! :cloud9:

After reading this thread.... I think I am going to need a cigarette ( and I don't smoke - WOW).

With only 1 day at EPCOT, how am I supposed to taste all these drinks, and still be able to walk around the park?
