I hear the food at HS is not great. BUT we do have to eat while we are there. I was wondering if you had to eat at one place(CS or TS) which restaurant would you chose?
Also, are there any particular items from that menu you would chose?
Thanks!

I know I alot of people don't like it, but we like Pizza Planet for lunch. :goodvibes

And for dinner on our last trip, we ate at Hollywood and Vine for the F! package. My entire family loved the buffet!! Everything we picked was really good.:thumbsup2

Have a great trip!

I just snack there. Chocolate peanut butter cupcake from Starring Rolls is to die for! I want to try the red velvet too.

Their sandwiches at that bakery look good too.

We enjoy the 50's Prime Time Cafe both for the food and also for the fun atmosphere.
I love the Fried Chicken and DH loves the Pot Roast
Enjoy

You are not going to have a gourmet meal while there but there are plenty of family friendly options.

I was not a fan of Pizza Planet, but the 5 kids we were with did like it.

I have also eaten at Hollywood and Vine and thought the food was good.
Everyone was able to find something.

My favorite though is the 50's prime time cafe. Try the PB&J milkshake. We ate a variety of meals (12 of us) from fried chicken, meatloaf, etc and we all enjoyed the meal and had a great time at the restaurant.

We liked Mama Melrose. I had the mushroom arugula flatbread and it was good. I had the Baileys coffee too, which was great :)

If you must eat in DHS then either Hollywood Brown Derby for sit-down or something from Staring Rolls.

I really don't understand why people don't like HS' food. I like it better than any other park food except Epcot. :)

There's Mama Melrose's, Backlot Express, 50's...they're all good. :)

Pizza Planet is just Disney pizza so it's meh to begin with, but we have always enjoyed to Toy Story atmosphere. I like Prime Time for sit down meals.

Another vote for Mama Melrose. The Playhouse Disney breakfast at Hollywood and Vine isn't bad, as long as it's understood that it's a buffet and you're there for the characters.

50's prime time has great fried chicken and smores for dessert. Sci-Fi drive in has delicious sandwiches and milkshakes. They both have great atmosphere and are blast to visit.

Mama Melrose is great! Good food great atmosphere. Had lunch buffet at Hollywood and Vine and the food was very good. Starring Roles...sandwiches were OK...

Don't know why people knock DHS restaurants. We like Mama Melrose, Tony's Town Square and The Brown Derby.

I also don't understand why HS gets a bad rap for its food. I enjoy both the TS & CS options there. I love Starring Rolls for CS.

PT 50s is an excellent choice. We love the sample platter that lets you try a bit of everything.

In our opinion, Hollywood Brown Derby is the best restaurant in any of the theme parks. (Disclaimer: We haven't eaten at Le Bistro yet.) We have eaten at a large majority of the other restaurants though. I also don't understand why DHS gets a bad rep for TS. The CS options are great, but we usually avoid CS anywhere. I never think any CS is as good as some people seem to think.

i like 50s prime time cafe for a sit down lunch, starring rolls for a quick serve sandwich. when we do a dinner on our dhs day we hop over to the boardwalk and go to flying fish.
