My daughter will be celebrating her 13th birthday while we are in Disney. We want to suprise her with a special dinner. Her favorite food is steak. Where is the best place to get a really good steak in Disney World?

Shula's steak house (in the Dolphin resort) according to my DH & DS10.

We also had great steak at the Yachtsman this past August.

I would suggest Coral Reef in EPCOT.

The steak is very good and you could surprise your daughter with a personalized menu and the request a diver to wish her a :cake: Happy Birthday!

I vote for Yachtsmen Steakhouse. We love love love the steak there. If it's great steak you are after go there, atmosphere is great for us but we don't have kids and enjoy a quiet dinner (though I was able to see some of Illuminations upon two different occasions). California Grill will get you a good steak and great atmosphere. Le Cellier and Kona do steak but it's not amazing steak. Have fun.

California Grill for filet.
Le Cellier for strip.
Olivia's for prime rib.
Shula's for big, huge, porterhouse.

The Yachtsman had great steaks when we ate there a few years ago. More recently we went to Jiko, and my DS 11 absolutely loved his Filet Mignon, so didn't I. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful.

Yachtsman Steakhouse, Coral Reed or Le Cellier. Norcosses is awesome also.

Shula's and Yachtsman are steakhouses with lots of different steaks available. They are both usually at or near the top of the steak lovers' lists. Jiko, Flying Fish, Citrico's and Artist Point also each have great steaks, but it is usually only one entree selection among many.

I am sure many people have enjoyed their steaks at Coral Reef and Le Cellier, but those steaks really cannot compare to the quality of the food at Shula's, Yachtsman, Jiko, etc.

I had a fantastic filet at the Yachtsman and DH just about died and went to heaven with the NY strip at the Grand Floridian Cafe

I would say Coral Reef. While we haven't really had steak anywhere else, it was delicious. Neither DBF or myself are big steak eaters (at all!) and we both got the steak when we went in August. It was the best steak either of us have had in a very long time. DBF didn't want to go because he didn't think he would like anything, but I wanted to try it and we were both very happy that we went. We will definately be going again!!

Completely ditto. There is a big difference in quality between the regular restaurants and a signature restaurant.

I think I had the best steak of my LIFE at Yachtsman a couple of weeks ago! Second best: Grand Floridian. Unfortunately we couldn't get a ressie at Le Cellier, so take that into consideration as well. :-) My husband's a HUGE steak-eater too -- and he said he'd consider a trip to Disney JUST to get another steak from Yachtsman!

The Yachtsman Steakhouse has a good variety of Steaks and they still hand cut their steaks daily.

Also, I have ordered great birthday cakes for dinners there you just need to call the cake hotline or in room dining for the Yacht and Beach Club to order a birthday cake :cake: if you were interested.

Have a great trip!!
