Does know if there is a nice place to have a good meal in MGM??
Last time I was there {5years ago} we had pizza at toy story.:smooth:

The pizza's (flatbreads) at Mama Melrose's (Table service) are really good.
50's prime time is a fun restaraunt with comfort foods.
Sci-fi is also fun with sandwiches and milkshakes and other good food. Check out the different menus at www. wdwig.com

It has to be Brown Derby.

Mind you we have not been in many years, but we used to go there all the time. I can picture so clearly. It is really great table service(upscale-ish) but not too formal. It is old Hollywood. I would also recommend the Cobb Salad. I am counting the days until I can enjoy it there(10 and counting).

Our favorite at MGM is 50's Prime Time! It was probably the best meal we had our last trip.

Sci-Fi has a cool setting, but the food was only "ok".

Mama Melrose was quite good also.

Hollywood and Vine was good but nothing special.

Adding my vote for the Hollywood Brown Derby... Although it can get a bit noisy at peak times, it's still the best restaurant at Disney MGM to have a great meal and enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant.

Thank you for all your help.I think the 50's had good home cooking. Have a picky 6 year old, chicken and beef are good for her. How is it there??:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hollywood Brown Derby ~ without a doubt the best restaurant in MGM!!!!

I'd have to agree with this....50sPT is our favorite!

Brown Derby. The cobb salad is great.

We also like 50's Prime Time - good comfort food and a fun atmosphere.

We ate at 50's PTC for the first time this past June and loved it!! DD10 ordered the meatloaf and ate all of it. DD3's main diet consists of chicken, fries and ketchup so she was very satisfied here too.

This is always a big question for me too... We are thinking of eating at SciFi for burgers/shakes this year.

However, we tried the 50's PTC last year, and was not impressed at all. I know some people love it, but please, don't get your hopes up!

We had a reservation for lunch in January and still had to wait about 15/20 minutes. I would recommend it.

If you're going with kids, I'd recommend the Sci Fi Diner for its really fun atmosphere. It's dark inside, because of the movie theater theme, so a nice break for lunch.
