Where is the best "deal" to buy US/IOA tickets???

Where do you buy your tickets for these parks? We'll be visiting in Dec for 2 days (staying onsite) and I'd like to get the type of tickets that allow you to "hop" between both parks.

I checked the official Universal website and I see they are offering a buy 2 days, get 3 free for $99/person (adult or child). I doubt very much we'd be able to squeeze in another day...if we did, it would be from offsite so no FOTL. I'd have to purchase these by this weekend.

Does anyone know if there are better deals out there now?? Or if typically in the slower fall season they might come out w/ something better?? Or should I grab these and be thankful??

$99 is great for Universal IMO. You could look at the annual pass...the cheap one is $119 I think (and there is $20 off with the Florida Lotto), but it has blackouts. If you might go more than once a year, that is a good option. Get the $99 and be thrilled...a one day "park hopper" is $69 on its own, so 4 days for $30 is a good deal.

Thanks for the tip....I'll check it out more thoroughly. Certainly sounds like my best bet!!!! The $99 tickets I first mentioned also come w/ a $14 s&H fee!!!

Looks like undercover is for 3 days total, Universal is 5 total. RCI still has 7 days for $105 and $95 child.

True enough!!! I looked over our schedule and there is just no way to take advantage of those extra days...so since all I need is 2...I'll go w/ the lowest rate I can find for that. Thank you.

When you parkhopped, that meant you used two days, so we got to parkhop both days (using 4 days of the pass and leaving one day remaining).

If you want some "really" cheap tickets you can always do a timeshare tour once you get into town. My concierge desk is right next to a timeshare desk and they can make some really good deals for 90 mins of your time. Just an idea...

Wow! Are you talking about the BONUS pass? We have bought them in the past and they were always park hoppers. Did they change that this year?

MrsMud is correct. The Bonus pass (buy 2 days-get 3 days free) has always been a park hopper. You can go back and forth betwen parks as often as you want during the day and it still counts as only one day of use.

The one we had was not a bonus pass. They had a special at the gate (probably have it all the time, but we were told it was a special) - Buy 2 days and get 3 days free for $99. We also had an Entertainment card, so we got $7 in script free also (for each ticket). That covered a lot of the price of lunch.

It was not a parkhopper ticket but worked in the same way for us, since we used the extra days to do that.

I think that the passes that the websites sell are the only true 5 day park hoppers. We used the Universal.com pass but we spent 4 days in the parks. Keep in mind that if you do decide to get the 5-day from the Universal website, you can save money by using the will-call kiosks too. That's what we do every time and it works like a charm.

How long ago did you buy those passes? All multi-day tickets sold at the gate are park hoppers. The only ticket sold at the gate that isn't a hopper is the one day/1 park. This has been the case for several years.

Does Universal send you the tickets in the mail if you buy them on line or do you pick them up at the parks? How far in advance should you buy them?
