Where is my FAVORITE DCL cast member?

We saw Frankie from NY (Long Island to be exact, but sometimes they announce NYCity) on the Dream in August... we were surprised as we had previously sailed with him on the Magic in Jan and May. I do not recall if he was staying on the Dream for awhile or switching back to the Magic when it came back from Europe (but something in the back of my brain tells me he was heading to Puerto Rico to catch up with it again).

He did go to Puerto Rico to catch up with the Magic, but from what I know it was only for a few weeks and then he was going on vacation

It all depends on their first name and home country. As an example, there are dozens of cast members on each ship with a first name of "I Made" (translation: first son). There are two Ivan's in Palo on the Fantasy ... there are multiple Igor's, etc. What are the chances we will know which one you are trying to locate?

If you like someone, ask them for their last name.

Agreed. Folks, you can easily find out their full names if you save your dining tickets or even better, your tip voucher receipts as it lists first name and last name of your servers, head server and room host.

I just got off of the Wonder and had Theo and Leo (server and asst. server) as our main dining team. They were AMAZING and were really a highlight of the cruise. I even had them sign next to all of the characters on our photo frame because they were so great.

This brings up an excellent question for me:

When the ships transition back and forth from Port of Call to Port of Call, do the CMs always stay the same? We are headed to Alaska next summer and would love to ask for Theo and Leo based on this recommendation (plus having a newborn son named Leo!) but I'm wondering if the ships swap dining crews for their varying itineraries?

Cast members can be moved between ships. They should remain on the same ship for a contract's duration but if the company wants them somewhere else. I know I've seen head servers moved during an active contract, don't know about lower level cast members. There is also the possibility of them being off contract at the time.

Servers & assistants rotate during their contracts, so they aren't always together. This is why you should only request one CM. The person who reviews your request isn't going to know which one you would prefer if this is the case.

Godwin is gone. He is working on land now and I am sorry but I can't remember where.

If you are talking about Andre from Jamaica (I am pretty sure), with a great smile, then he is still on the Wonder as of now, but no telling if he'll still be there in a year. He was awesome!

Klaudia Fojcik (Poland) has been (with DCL) for 3+ years. In addition to her duties as an assistant server, Klaudia trains DCL Assistant Servers on the nuances of how to be a good Assistant Server. Friends who have ordered the DCL wine package have commented on how much they like her attentiveness when it comes to the wine.

Klaudia Fojcik (Poland) recently transferred to Palo on the Magic (November 2014). Klaudia transferred from the Wonder (Palo server) ... taking a position within the Main Dining Room on the Magic. When cast members transfer, they sometimes have to take a different position - to wait for an open position in their preferred department. This was the case for Klaudia - who was able to transfer from the Main Dining Room, to Palo - on the Magic.

Klaudia will be on vacation in January.

Actually, guests are able to make multiple requests for the same position. You may request "Jack" as server, OR, "Jim" as server. If one is not available, you will be provided with the other.

Guests should not request "Jack" as a server, and "Jill" as an Assistant Server, as there is no guarantee as to whether they will be working together. In addition, you should not request the following:
- Server "X" with Head Server "Y" for the same reasons as Jack and Jill
- Server "X" (etc) on Rotation #3. Though servers are rotated to different rotations, requesting a specific cast member in a specific rotation can prove to be an overly burdensome request.

E-mail address for a specific cast member? That information (if available) should not be disclosed on this thread, nor should any server's personal contact information be shared with other guests. Guests who wish to communicate with cast members should ask the cast members directly (in person). Some cast members do not share e-mail information, though some will share their Facebook information.

Alfredo from the Dominican Republic literally MADE our cruise on the Fantasy. He was the greatest server in the world! As much as we want to see other ships/itineraries we are seriously considering the Fantasy for our next cruise if only because of him (he seemed to indicate he'll be around for awhile!) If you have him, you're in good hands. Ahoy!

Anyone seen Valine ("Val") recently? She was our assistant server on the Fantasy in January. Toto was our server, whom we requested because of all the great feedback on this site. However, Val was by far our favorite cast member by far.
