And also no need to beat up on lurkers who are misunderstood by other posters.

If you want, you can lurk for years on the DIS, and many people do just that - I did it for at least 6 months before I ever registered or made my first post. I'm sure lots of people have read Mulan's entire saga without ever registering.

That doesn't mean they know where the new posts are or that they can lurk at the new location. They, too, are asking for the courtesy of a PM so they can apply to be added to the new list of Mulan's readers.

Agreed, and my intention was not to justify anyone being unkind, just to explain why some might be a bit more cautious than on a typical thread. That's not to discourage anyone from asking for information. I'm sure Mulan welcomes all the support she can get.
