Where is Lake Buena Vista ?

We read in todays Orlando Sentinel how the " so called " mayor's wife" of Bay Lake stole over one million from Disney.

We went out trying to find that tiny community and alas there is was well hidden just east of the employees entrance to the MK. along Rheams rd. A small sign says Private Road but we drove down it and found that small community. Mostly double wide trailers but there were some pretty nice homes. A couple seem to have horses. There were plenty of signs for no hunting and one sign in particular along Bay Court said this was a public county rd. As we left Disney security discovered us and asked what we were doing. Once they figured out we were not there to tresspass they told us most of the residents live there is relative obscurity.

That got us to wondering where the other town " Lake Buena Vista " is actually located. Not the hotel row and everything we are all familiar with but the actual town . It is mentioned in this article .I have studied some older Orlando maps and still can not figure where LBV is hidden away.

We love a little mystery and a good Sunday drive .
Anyone know ?

I believe the Lake Buena Vista post office is at the Crossroads shopping center. I think that part of Disney property including Hotel Plaza Boulevard is also a part of LBV. I never thought there was much more to it than that area and some surrounding residences and hotels. I think there is a mosque down there, so probably some churches too. I've never heard of a LBV school. It's strange how you can find something so rural that close to WDW, isn't it?

Isn't Disney's official address in Lake Buena Vista? That's what was on my checks, anyway.

My Orlando map shows LBV to be centered in DTD, including POR. It doesn't have clear lines drawn, just the title centered (I assume) over the area. Yep, here's Bay Lake, too. I never knew that was a town, much less a town big enough to have a mayor. Strange. Where is city hall??? Let me guess... Main Street?

BTW-- that sounds like my kind of Sunday drive. I love exploring!
