Where Is Flying Carpet Magic?

This is probably on no one else's mind.. but where the flip did Flying Carpet Magic go? Ive been here since opening day and there have always been rumors about this mystery magic. they even had it in the now-gone magic potion room where you could test different magic spells, ALL of which have come out.. beside Flying Carpet. For all of you new VMK'ers that are probably wondering what th heck is Flying Carpet Magic.. it's just what it sounds like.. Riding on a magic flying carpet.. and maybe being able to walk around. Even though i have no definite answer to where it as gone.. my predictions is a adventureland month with a remodeled jungle cruise game, shield tables (the tables that look a little like a surfboard), and maybe that magic. DISCUSSION

All I can think of it must still be in the works. Or maybe it's just too buggy and they gave up on it. Who knows.

Absolutely on the mark A! I admit Fly has more staying power of her conviction than I do, to 'keep the hope alive'! But my desire is no less strong!

Duck has never run out of credits, and is very close, despite gifting and/or trading with credits, to 500,000. Why do I bring this up here? Because she has been saving since Sept '05, when VMK said.. "start saving for the Flying Carpet magic"! Well, I am still waiting.. and saving!!

IMHO, it probably will never come out sadly. I still remember when they were getting ready to bring bat magic out, and they actually polled us, over which we wanted first, bat or flying carpet. Don't remember the results, but they never had Flying Carpet on their mind regardless how the poll went.

I suspect they used Bat magic to replace it. Think of the probable programming nightmares in getting it out. Like with Bat, they have to not only know the "permanent" fixtures in a room, so as not to run into them, but also the moveable ones. Either people in the public rooms, or people and furnishings in private rooms. Since Flying Carpet is so "big".. I bet as they did testing on it, found it too budget heavy a task. Ergo.. we got Bat instead. Again, just IMHO. (It was going to be a purple carpet too! )

I think that VMK might be keeping stuff from us to keep people interested in the game, taunting us with rooms full of cool furniture we will never have and making QA_'s show off magic we will never have

Yes, because they are both similar in action. They are both "flying" magics, except Bat is more 'universal' while Flying Carpet is more specific when it comes to avatar animation.

In theory, Bat is just an easier magic to program.

Ah but if it has so much problems then why does Yavn get to have it and fly around on it with no problems? I've seen him do it with a room full of people. They just don't want us to have it and are keeping it for themselves.

i suspect that it IS a highly bugged magic.. I mean the other flying magic is bat but all they have to do is turn you into a bat and let you float.. but with carpet magic they have to somehow get your little person sitting, then floating in the air on the carpet and maybe JUST MAYBE a bug is where you fall through the carpet and dont "float" plus with EVERYONE wanting it, the more they make, the make chances of bugs so maybe this is why only a few ppl (like yavn) has it?

Ive been waiting for QUITE someime now.. maybe not a Aladdin Month but maybe Adventureland? Adventureland sure does need a facelift.

Yeah but Aladdin is more of a Fantasyland thing so why couldn't they have released it during Fantasyland month when those fantasyland pins came out and those dark rides!?!?
