Where is Al's Toy Barn?

I keep looking at the maps, but I can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA

It is right behind Mama Melrose Restaurant at MGM. Usually has Woody, Jessie, and Buzz.

You do know that Al's Toy Barn is only a backdrop that you take pictures with the characters in front of, right? My boys were so disappointed when we discovered that there was no actual toy store there. I just wanted to warn you. But Pizza Planet is located very close, so you can stop by there for more Toy Story fun.

Funny you should mention that. It took three CM's directions and a couple of trys to find it for us. We just kept missing it. It is kinda tucked away. You would think Disney marketing would have JUMPED :jumping4: at the chance to put a toy store there!

Thanks for the replies. I do realize it is just a photo op spot, but I heard that we may be able to see the green army men there.

It does amaze me that Disney didn't take advantage of the huge marketing opportunity to put in an actual toy store, but we're looking forward to Pizza Planet, too.

Check the park times when you go to MGM- they list the meet and greet times. The CM is there a few minutes before the characters arrive- can tell you who is going to be there. The backdrop is cool to take pictures in front of even without the characters. If you are going to Muppetvision and plan on seeing the characters on the way out, try to sit at the end of the aisle next to the exit doors. You'll be among the first out and hopefully not have to wait as long to meet them!

Yes, the green army men (about 6 or so) came out while our family was waiting to see the characters. The sergeant was rather funny, barking at both his troops and at passing visitors (to get them to get in line for Woody Buzz and Jessie, of course!).

As others mentioned... walk past the Muppet entrance, and past Pizza Planet, and Als Toy Barn is right on the left.

I believe it's on the park maps as well.

We just got back from the world on sat. The green army men were out in front of the great movie ride. This was very early when the park opened. They made a big point of telling every one to start at the back of the park (AL's toy barn) to get toy story autograghs because the lines get so long. We went right back and didn't have a problem.
