It's not unique to Canada but part of the culture...it's not a toy. :tink:

A kayak? Skis?

Okay, here's a crop. If you guess it on your first guess then the fun is over, so try to make it last and enjoy it. For 3 hours, then I'm gone for the day. Painting class and big concert tonight!

Sit down or quick service?

Very interesting lunch today...we celebrated my Mom's 90th birthday early...sister and her family are leaving for DW this Thursday. Not sure who's actually making the trip :rotfl:...youngest grandson has the FLU :faint: and on the way to the party from The Woodlands, nephew and his wife got a call from Texas CPS...there was a young child available for them to pick up ASAP...they're foster parents. :rolleyes1 Never a dull moment with ANY of us when it comes to DW trips! :lmao: But...the really interesting part was the opportunity to meet and visit with a young man from Ghana. Omar is a classmate of my cousins youngest son at Texas A&M and, along with Paul (from Thailand) they join our family over the Holidays at our celebrations. DGD's sure are learning about different cultures  and Omar is a HUGE soccer fan so he was a "hit" with Redstorm! :thumbsup2

:upsidedow Yes it was...like I said..."family drama" ALWAYS comes into play with us. :rolleyes1 Loved visiting with those young men and getting their views on "the world"...Paul's family is a "member of the ruling class" in Thailand and he's very concerned about the political turmoil in his country; Omar has 24 siblings  and is at A&M earning his PhD in English, hoping to return home and teach. One of the most confusing (for them) conversations centered around the COST of political elections in the USA. One of our friends was elected last night to the Texas State Senate in a special election...her campaign costs totaled $900,000...her opponent spent $1.7 MILLION of his OWN money plus donations! That was VERY perplexing to them! :lmao:

As for getting your tree up ... :p:p:p! :lmao: HOPE to at least get the lights on mine this evening :rolleyes1 ........

:yay: Yes Ma'am...this is from Earl of Sandwich! :yay:

Our tree went up yesterday! I have two exams and a six page paper standing between me and finishing this semester. But the bad part is that I'm sick, left work three hours early on Friday and called off (for the third time in five years) today.
