I can't believe I'm the first from California. Sonoma (in the wine country north of San Francisco). Daddy was from Gort, County Galway. My maternal grandmother was from Portmagee (across from Valencia Island) County Kerry and my Grandfather was from Lock, just outside Dingle, County Kerry.

When my husband met my parents for the first time he told them he was fromthe capital of Ireland. "Dublin" they said in unison. "No", he replied, "Liverpool!"
