Following Amanda and Bryan's flight on Flightaware....as I type this they're crossing the border into Canada on the way to Calgary and REALLY cooler weather! They were more excited for that than the adventures she has booked! Sara & Treavor are on the way to the soccer game in Dallas and dinner with Allie...and I'm going to BATHE THE DOG. Such "adventure" for ME this morning...

We decided to not "take our lives in our hands" and travel to Dallas during the 5 o'clock traffic so we watched online. Second game in a row; Allie finally gets put in at the half-way point in the first half and HPU gets a goal! First goal scored on the other team all year!

We are too! She...and Emily & Sydney...are trying to "guide" the underclassmen but there's only so much they can do. If I'D be the coach, I'd have them devote 1/2 entire practice to GOALS! The purpose of soccer is to score goals and they can't hit that opening for nothing! So, so many of the missed goals don't even need to be stopped by the goalkeeper! It's so frustrating. David and I laughed yesterday listening to the commentator calling the game! Allie made a beautiful pass to the forward on the left side of the field...perfect pass...put it out in front of her so all she needed to do was aim at the "opening" and kick the stupid ball! She sailed it WAY side right! The commentator ...."#10...what were you thinking...#4 just gave you a beautiful, perfect gift and you sailed right! What were you thinking?"

Halfway through the regular season and the Brahmas have scored 315 points; opponents-45 ! Didn't even stop the clock tonight for 1st downs in the 2nd half ; games started at 7 and we were back home at 9:15 after a 63-0 victory. Fun evening...
