Diane...still snowing? This morning was still beautiful here...a little cool but sunny and quiet day. Clouds started rolling in around 3 along with cooler temperatures. Already at 49 degrees and rain starting around 1 but they've already issued flash flood alerts...and CANCELLED the soccer scrimmage! (Really didn't "hurt my feelings when Redstorm called...was NOT looking forward to sitting out in 40 degree weather with DOWN POURING RAIN tomorrow to watch her scrimmage! )

New crop for this evening...

Park, resort or other?
Not snowing anymore. There was about an inch of wet slushy snow this morning. Back to work tomorrow. Vacation was way too short.

Not snowing anymore. There was about an inch of wet slushy snow this morning. Back to work tomorrow. Vacation was way too short.

I was going to ask you if you had to go back already tomorrow. No FAIR! Our kids go back to school next Monday/Tuesday...may have a teacher workday Monday but soccer now starts Thursday...unless...like I'm afraid will happen...the predicted rain will cancel those games too. They're in a tournament in Waller and that tournament has weather problems EVERY year. Last year was rain also; the year before was ICE that cancelled it! It goes until Saturday and Friday is suppose to be dry...just not sure how some of the fields will be. They have 3 fields available with turf but it's a really big tournament so they may be lucky if they get one game in. Redstorm is SO READY to play a game she'll be really disappointed if that happens.

THANKS ED...and thanks for checking in...WE MISS YOU! Showed our HS group shot from last July to my BFF this afternoon; trying to get her to come with us on our next visit and told her if she DID we'd most likely meet YOU! She's Economic Director of El Campo, Texas and busier than WE are so working out our schedules will be a challenge but we're at least TALKING about it....hoping to work something out for the week before Thanksgiving. Will keep you posted!

Thank you Jeff; yes...awesome Christmas and, so far, tolerating the New Year . Soccer was cancelled for the day, which didn't "hurt my feelings" since it's 39, RAINING and "real feel" of 32. It's nasty out there but left early this morning to restock the pantry since we're "busy" 25 out of the 29 days left in January! Wanted to avoid the heavy rainfall but didn't work...got "caught" putting things in the car during pouring rain more than once! Hope y'all enjoyed your first Christmas as a "family of 4"!
