Okay...if I end up in the hospital with frost bite I'll be back eventually to continue with this crop. Soccer team is on the way to Brenham; if they can play in this cold, we'll be there to support them. It's not -10 but game temperature will be around 29 with real feel of 24 ...I'm going to put my many layers of winter clothing on in preparation of SITTING ON COLD FOOTBALL BLEACHERS for 1 1/2 hours . Sunday we'll have a high of 70! Later....(when my fingers and toes thaw out )...

I had to go back to work today too. Boy was it crazy. It was -10 this morning, there were 4 busses that were running 30 minutes late one bus broke down and I think every kid that gets dropped off was late.

ummmm -10 degrees....not leaving house!

Not sure about Redstorm though ...started out okay...

About 20 minutes after halftime I got a little concerned when I saw this...

...and got REALLY worried when I saw THIS...

Coach finally took her out...frostbite setting in in her hands.

We had hand warmers in the stands and got mine to her and her teammates put coats over her on the bench until the game ended. She went directly home with DD and SIL and they gradually warmed her up. She says she okay and snuggled under her blankets now. We have GOT to get her some better gloves but HOPING this is the only game this year that will be so dang cold. Tournament this weekend with temps that SHOULD be in high 50's/low 60's.

Four of them ; 2 pair socks; turtleneck sweater; hooded heavy sweatshirt; LONG JOHNS; heavy pants; stretchy cap I haven't worn in 10 years; wool scarf; heavy coat and pair of gloves...thank goodness the lady sitting in front of us (new soccer Mom) had extra hand warmers or MY hands would have been in the same shape Redstorm's was! I was "comfortable" except for my hands and feet started getting cold toward the end of the game. Auto started the car as the whistle blew and it was nice and toasty when we climbed in!

I KNOW! Several of the Brenham players didn't have leg warmers and two of our girls didn't either! I know what will be under the Christmas tree next year for Allie...some GOOD gloves! There wasn't much "playing" ...they mainly just ran up/down the field! They couldn't concentrate! Had a few good moves from Taylor and Yoshi played VERY well but not much action. We have a freshman goalkeeper and she made some great stops but one shot got past her with about 2 minutes left in the game so ended up 0-1 Brenham. They looked a LOT better than I thought they would; top scorer and 2 top defensive players still out to injury or discipline issues so had 4 freshmen on the field...was honestly not expecting to win. Allie's foot is still bothering her too...especially in the cold...and she was only suppose to play until half-time but coach put her in half of the 2nd half too!

I'd drag you down ! Greeted another soccer Mom on the way out of the stands and we both decided lifting our arms for a hug was WAY to much trouble! DH beat me to the car by 5 minutes...I couldn't walk fast much less RUN!
