56 inches of snow in 2 days in Errie, Penn.!! Makes me look pretty snug here. We are supposed to get more snow Thursday and Friday but like 6 inches. I cannot even imagine 56!

WOW...did I ever get a surprise when I checked the extended forecast earlier. New Year's Day our predicted high is only 32 with a real feel of -2 ...and a "little bit of ice". Looks like my New Year's Day menu needs to be HOT SOUP! They change the forecast, it seems on a daily basis, but if this one holds out I'll be joining my northern friends in the "cold weather department".

Watched a little of the Weather Channel today and saw that! That's a LOT of snow in 2 days!

This is not a piece of art and not in the lobby.

I guess it's related to Christmas? A present or display? In a guest room?

Hope your forecast improves but it looks like a big bubble of arctic air is dripping down the middle of the US. Thanks Canada! Luckily for me, the Rocky Mts. are keeping the worst of it off of me. But we are going to get more snow Thursday and Friday. We need the snow. We need the snow. We need the snow. We need the snow. That's what I keep telling myself. If I want water in Aug. I need snow in Jan.

Hope your forecast improves but it looks like a big bubble of arctic air is dripping down the middle of the US. Thanks Canada! Luckily for me, the Rocky Mts. are keeping the worst of it off of me. Yes, you must keep repeating "we need the snow"...and will hopefully help prevent those scary forest fires too. It may not get down to 13 but it will be cold for us; it's really strange but this weather pattern is kind of expected. Whenever a hurricane makes landfall in Texas we normally have a colder winter. That fact was pointed out during our brief "snowfall" in early December. Freezing temperatures are a blessing in a way...tends to "freeze out" a lot of those pesky bugs that bother us in the summer. The coldest winter I can remember was the year youngest DD was born...1983. In fact, we had a chimney fire on CHRISTMAS MORNING and take the volunteer firemen away from their Christmas morning to make sure it was out. It stayed in the teens for 5 days...highs of upper teens; lows down to 12. The only part I DON'T like is the care of my tropical plants ...they'll ALL have to be protected or moved into the garage . Time will tell...like I said...the forecast changes on a daily basis. It will be cold just don't know HOW cold.

DGD's are seeing The Last Jedi FOR THE 3RD TIME! Their cousins from Louisiana arrived last night and were VERY upset they didn't wait for them to arrive before seeing it the first time. Along with DD...they said NO PROBLEM...we knew we'd want to see it AGAIN. I'm going to their house to watch a movie DD recorded for me the night WE went to see it. I "get" to babysit Cici ...

It snowed here just in the morning of Christmas just enough so people said we had white Christmas lol even thou we still have some snow on the ground from the last time it snowed

This is associated with a shop and yes...it's the bow on top of a Christmas tree. Elizabeth...the "location" is a "location" that's in all the resorts that we've stayed in or visited so you can keep thinking..."where" would that Christmas tree be in the shop.
