DH made a trip to Sealy today with our "little energizer bunny", aka the "panic over the helicopters at 1 AM last week" to deliver food for National Guard Troops staging in our area:

That's my friend Patty in the background (the mother of the "energizer bunny") who prepared steak and gravy for 160 for delivery. . Relief work continues but is overwhelming . One of the officers came out of Command Center to thank them for the food and asked DH, "what day is this?" A group of "BBQ men" from New York called this morning...they're on their way to Texas with their pits and prepared to stay 3-4 days preparing meat for the Troops . Outpouring of help is fabulous! Now DH, DD and Redstorm are on their way to College Station for a college volleyball game. A&M is hosting a tournament and they're going to the Penn State vs A&M game. Bellville has a "connection" to Penn State; one of our former volleyball players is on the team. DD laughed and said, "Who are we going to yell for? What school colors should we wear"? Nice to have trivial "problems" for a short time.

Yes...DH feeling much better. He had a nice, thick Rib Eye steak for dinner last night! It's wonderful how everyone, across the nation as well as locally, are helping out. I read somewhere there are more volunteers out helping than there are victims of the storm. Decided to make myself useful and clean our yard ; after 5 trash cans full of limbs, I had to come in to reapply OFF. BUGS are "carrying me off"!
